Finally hit 1200 miles . I cheated a little once I hit 1000, changing the shift indicator to 5000, but now its at 6600 to stay.

Let the fun begin! The drive home was waaaay fun - but the gas guage moves a lot faster at 6000 rpm than at 4000 rpm!

 

I am finding that I have little self control at times. I am not raping her but i am not being altogether real easy either. Sometimes I hit her hard and rev her more than 5000, but not for a long time at all, just an instant. One time I accidentally red lined her but just once for an instant. And then there was that 911. I cannot keep my foot out of her all the time. I have my shift indicator set at 3800 but I keep breaking my rules. She still seems just fine though.

 

my dealer said i didnt have to really worry about the break in period, despite what the owners manual said. im still (trying) to take it rather easy until i hit that 1200 mile mark though.

 

Man I'm not even half way yet!

880 and counting, yeah, I push her pretty hard at this point... but I could certainly push harder, the roads just keep ending way before 3rd is finished. managing it in 2nd is difficult.

 

510 miles.... still a lot more to go before I complete mine.

 

OMFG, 3rd is awesome!! And soooo fun. It just pulls hard. 650 miles and counting.
