Default retro inspired Z?

Hypothetically speaking, what do you think of the next generation Z looking like the classic 240Z design? The reason why I ask is that this seems to be a fad among american car manufacturers these days. First you saw it with Ford's T-bird, next was the new Mustang, and I hear Dodge is planning to release the Charger again for 2006 based on the classic 60s design.

Personally, I really love the 240z body desgin. Can you imagine what this classic design, married with modern technology, would be like? Would you welcome this idea from Nissan?

The current 350Z was designed from the 240Z believe it or not.

Yep. Here's some pics of their concept prior to the final version.

Which promoted the birth of the 2001 concept. No one liked that 1999 car!

I would like to see the next gen Z (370Z?) have a shorted deck and longer nose ala the 1st gen cars, but not too much retro. There was a 'chop around that did just this to a 350, and it looked pretty good.

Retro is so out dated. Everybody is doing it like they can't think of something original.

Beetle
PT Cruiser
Prowler (out of production)
T-bird (already out of production)
Mini
Mustang
Chrysler 300
Magnum

Lets not dwell on the past, that is what used cars and custom/kits are for.

Chris (owns a classic 72 Austin Mini and is going to scream if one more person asks if he is aware they are making the MINI again)
