You should be able to get both for $200 + shipping from any online store. $120 for a popcharger seems to be the average and the Z-tube is about $75-$85.

If you order from PerformanceNissanParts.com, they have a package deal (Popcharger + Z-tube) for $189.95. Pretty damn good price in my opinion. The service there is top notch (I buy all my stuff from them).

yep, I got mine from Performance Nissan as well. Good price and fast shipping. Here's a pic of my setup with the polished UTR intake tube:

Damn your stock upper intake manifold looks so clean. Mine looked very dirty when I replaced it.

Quick question that is slightly off topic. What does a popcharger do?

It's just a swap of the OEM boxfilter to a cone filter. Theoretically it is supposed to provide increased airflow than the boxfilter. More air usually means more HP. In addition, people call it a "poor man's turbo" because it has a neat whine sound as you rev it up. When you have your car WOT in upper RPMs, your engine sounds more aggressive.

Ok, one more question. What is WOT? I know I sound ignorant. That's because I am. I really know next to nothing about cars, but am trying to learn.

Hey man, don't sweat it. Everyone has to start somewhere and I was in your position just 2 months ago. I knew nothing about cars prior to that. WOT is "Wide open Throttle". Basically meaning pressing the pedal to the floor.

I was scared to even attempt to clean it because it isn't a smooth finish. I was afraid chemical, minerals, etc. would get caught inside it.

Hey Low J.
I noticed that your filter doesn't sit in there straight. Mine did the same thing and it bothered the hell out of me. If you want to straighten it out all you need to do is bend the popcharger bracket just a little and it'll sit in there just right.

yeah, I was wondering about that. Thanks for the tip....I'll have to mess with that on the next rainy weekend because I want it to be perfect under there.

Does anything cover the airfilter on the popcharger or does it just sit there exposed?

there's a metal piece that protects the popcharger on the left side. It has a rubber piece that seals that metal piece around the bottom of the popcharger where it meets up with the MAF tube. When the hood is closed it serves to protect the unit somewhat from the heat soak of the engine. But just to note, having a cone filter exposed is not a problem....they are designed to be that way.

Are a "Z Tube" and "Intake Tube" the same thing in this case?

I would assume so, but your best bet would be to call or email them for more details... sorry.
