Hey!

You can write paragraphs upon paragraphs on what is not so good w/ the Z. I'm sure you could do the same w/ the exotics too. Can we end this F'n thread?? TY

lol 600,000 miles? geez you got your money out of that one if that's accurate...
Yeah, the odometer stopped at 512,741 miles a long time ago, but I'm sure a lot more than 100,000 miles has been driven since then.

why do you think nissan is thought of as less than honda/toyota? i haven't heard any huge complaints or anything about nissan, but people just assume nissan isn't as good. you know ever since they discontinued the z32 nissans' brand image has decreased and i hope it goes back
I think the Z32 had more problems, especially the Twin Turbo one. That's one of the reasons why Nissan made this one non-aspirated. Since you'll never have to worry about getting a turbo rebuilt, maintenance on the 350Z should be a lot cheaper.

Maintenance on a "non-aspirated" engine is non-existant, since it wouldn't run! That would be "normally aspirated"...

Z MSRP 26,800
M3 MSRP 46,540

I go with the Base to demonstrate my point.

Actual dealer cost

Z Base 26,800
M3 57,000

add taxes and extras. Unless you are making 80-90 k you ain't getting the m3. If you think that they give out 90k jobs after you get that 4 yr BA. Check with your local councelor.

There is alot of info on the web regarding the new Z also, check magazine websites. After that you'll have answered all your questions including reading driving impressions by professionals whose only job is to drive cars. There are also driving impressions, by people like you and me, on this board and other Z specific boards.

Not many people on this, or any other board are going to spoon feed you information that you could easily find yourself. Now if you have some hard questions, please post them up.
Took the words outta my mouth....

I thought it was going to be the EVO VIII? Anyway, is feb. confirmed? If so, i didnt know it had a confirmed date yet. Also, I would say it would eat a 350z alive. They Z would hang right there w/ it aside from launches. Keep in mind that we don't live in japan so it'll get detuned.

Default Ahem

Trolls.

Wrx, Evo, blah blah.

Won't match the combination of performance and styling of the Z.

Not even close.

the trolls are so annoying.

Just someone posting out his ***. Nobody in the public even knows what it will cost or how much power it will make in US trim.

I have a Celica and I amd offended and resent your comment. The Celica is the best handling FWD production car sold in the US today. I love the Z, but sorry, its way too heavy. Even though my Celica is FWD and has 100 less HP, it handles better than the Z and weights 2500lbs, a good 700lbs lighter than the Z. Using the same arguement for the 350z vs M3, I paid $22,500 for mine fully loaded, $10,000 less than what you paid for your Z.

Bottom line is, don't diss any car if you don't know what you are talking about.

well for one thing, the mitsubishi EVO Sweepstakes ends 2/28/03.
so they would be giving out EVO around that time.
and yes it is EVO VII.

because suburu's going to release WRX STI verson in the US, the chances are EVO VII will be neck to neck competetion or better.

which means it will be faster, and better in everyway than the WRX(non-sti) as a Sports car.

and $29k. is a word by mitsubishi business director of somekind.

but I have a buy a car next month.

kih80: Regarding evos. They are pretty impressive cars. But couple of things. Evo 8 is comming here which will be called the evolution. They are planning to hit the market next year.

I belive unofficially it will have about 267 bhp + AWD. Will it beat a Z. Stock vs Stock that is something you will have to wait and see.

I know that Evos run with impressive numbers. From what I read the car will be comming in at aobut 30K. So that is already 3k over base Z. Keep that in Mind. Z is a strong car as well it ain't no ***** that is for sure.

OK, I didn't read 90% of teh posts but I'm gonna post anyway...

The new Z isn't a GREAT deal for teh $$ but a very good one.

As far as teh Exterior goes, it's super original, sleek, attractive. No, it's not lux/aggressive looking like teh M3. It looks like a sports car, that;s what it should look like.

Interior quality - 8 out of 10...it's simple sporty, in your face. Much like the Z it self, function over fashion. Although it's very hip and sleek looking. It doens't have 5,000,000 buttons like BMW and MB.

The overall attitude of teh Z carries thoughout: This is a sports car, it's not a town car. This is gonna move and let you know it's moving.

Don't worry.

I love the Z.
actually thinking of buying one.

That's why I'm here.

but If Lancer EVO is not less than 5 sec 0-60, I will be disappointed. 4.9 is ok. lol

There's one EVO VII in the US (left hand drive, so us spec) which ran in a local track.( maybe it was companies secret test ) I think I have in a video too. It ran mid 13s in the first run I think. I don't know the exact time.
