i did a search but didnt really come up with anything specific..

im wondering how to take off the stock shift **** and replace it with another one (momo).

 

replacing it is a BREEZE! pull up on the back of the ring that surrounds the shifter (hook your fingers under) and that whole panel just pops right up. then, push that white stuff down and put a vice grip on the shifter and then just turn the shifter and it comes right off. now it will be tight, as it should be, so you may need to put a wrench on the shift ****. then just put the new one on, piece of cake!!

 

VERY IMPORTANT: you need to stabilize the shifter before turning the ****. otherwise, you could damage your tranny! use some radiator tubing to protect the shifter.
stap wrench is great for removing ****.

 

The earlier make your 350Z, the more difficult it is to remove. But yes, make sure that you secure the shifter rod before trying to remove the ****. Need a PDF of the Nismo shift **** instructions? PM me
