Default Rant - "Does your incompetence know no bounds!!??"

*Rant mode on*

Driving back from work this evening. Stuck in Houston rush hour traffic waiting to take my exit. See a Maxima behind me slowly inch up and then I get a tap in the back. Put my hazards on and we both pulled to the shoulder. Got out of the Z furious and reamed the lady out. Seems she was reaching for her purse to get her cell so she could tell someone she was going to be late. So before she bursted into tears, I left it at that and told her to be more careful. Wish I could have said my title quote; I always manage to forget to use it - it's from a movie and it always makes me laugh.

*Rant mode off"

Wait... so you got hit on the bumper and you let it go?

I'd make her pay the damage at least... or was there no damage?

Same thing kinda happened to me a couple years ago in another car - sitting at a stoplight & got "tapped" from behind. Got out, saw there was no damage, yelled at the guy driving that tapped me while he just sat in his car trying to explain that he just goofed up, then saw his "handicapped" license plate & felt like an ***..........then told him to just be careful. I'm still pissed at myself about the yelling-thing 'cause I'm usually a mellow dude.... Just don't mess with my rides..........

Hang on just a minute - why should he be any different just because he is disabled - Do you guys not practice "tyre & tarmac" you should be able to see the tyres AND some tarmac of the car in front at all times - try it and see just how much space that gives you from the car in front at low speeds or in stopped traffic - no fecking way should someone be close enough to"tap" you up the **** without leaving damage ..... you rant away chap

I was doing 85mph on the Garden State Parkway when a Saleen or Saleen wanna-be Mustang was tailgating me hard. I had no place to go and he could have easily waited patiently since there were cars in front of all lanes. I allow tailgating for only so many minutes, just enough for the clown to get comfortable and think I'm scared. Then, out of nowhere, hold the steering wheel with both hands (cause each wheel differs in its resistance, possibly makin ya swerve a lil) and yank back on the parking brake HARD!

Usually, the sight of items flying around the dash, the face that says "I'm pissing now", and the fact I know the guy has turtle-head (terd comin too) is enough to satisfy my own vengeful mindset.

On the other hand, on Rt 287 in Edison I did the same thing, only the lady pulled hard into the slow lanes, swerved back and ended up in the median. Scared me because I didn't mean for her to take such over compensating moves to avoid hitting me and almost end up killing herself.

Now I only do this to real a$$holes.

"I won't even get into exiting the vehicle, which is a whole other realm of immaturity"

Nice one chap try this one in slow traffic - wait until they get really really close then dump the clutch and stall it - put the hazards on and enjoy watching the **** behind try and back up enough to pull round you - particularly satisfying with buses

freemason,

Thats a good one too, only by doing that if I do end up getting rear-ended, then I'll have to get out and put a hurtin on whoever was drivin, age, sex, race not matter.

Here in NJ, ya'll get arrested, and being a competitive bodybuilder, I know from experience, I'll be hung before I even get to court.

You can't control what others do on the road, you can be defensive and alert. You can protect yourself from situations you may see coming if you are assertive, but you can't stop anyone from making a deadly or plain idiotic decision. I do my best to avoid any and all confrontations, but if one comes my way I find it very hard to walk away.

People who tail gate on the highways are just complete ****ing idiots...brake checking them is just as stupid but ya' can't help it some times. I checked some idiot in a Camry and he nearly rear ended a mini van. The guy had a vein popping out of his forehead the size of the lincoln tunnel...

man, I have no tolerance for cripples. When I see that blue tag hanging off of the rear-view, I give them lots of room, cause they are the sloppiest drivers out there. They seem to think that because they are "handi-capable" that everybody else owes them something and has to get out of their way.

They seem to like beat up Chrysler minivans; I've seen so many of these people come within a hair of clobbering someone... They run lights, they park their tires ON the white line so you have no hope of getting into the spot next to them...

I guess they kind of annoy me sometimes...
