Driving this car on a rutted road is hell?
It drives real smooth on a nice asphalt road. On a rutted asphalt road you bounce all over the place. Prolly because of the different sized and wide tires. You guys thinking you have alignment problem might be experiencing this.
It bounces more than other sports cars on some road surfaces. I have driven the same roads in a Porsche Boxster and a Mercedes SLK230 and they do not jiggle up and down like the Z.
It's kind of annoying, but I can live with it. (I just move into the lane that is smoother.) They do need to fix this, though (for 2004?)

Let me clarify. Rut like the road has tracks where the wheels are suppose to be, not ruts as in pot holes.
(i.e. where the path (where the wheels are suppose to go) is sunk in due to poor design or heavy loads).

I have both.. I have a dodge ram club cab sport and a nice new Z.. I have very soft shocks and struts on my ram... it is nice over certian parts of the local hiway.. BUT... there are times when the cracks and joints in the roadway are a certian distance apart and I am going a certian speed that makes it jiggle and wiggle...
The same thing happens with my Z... granted the Z has a harsher ride.. but.. your getting tighter feel and snap cornering. I bounce.. or porpoise over places in the roadway too.. its got a lot to do with speed and the type of joints or ridges in the road..
If you wanted smooth ride.. the G is out there. Or you could get a ..cough hack hack... wrx... hack! sorry .. hair ball.
If you want a sports car with sports car feel... well I know what I did with my money... and hay I didnt get gouged for the name either...

I've driven sportscars, but this car is bouncier, especially on some freeways... most freeways maybe. A harsh ride I welcome. But bouncing around like an idiot is just screwed up, because it doesn't help the driving experience. I just want to see what this looks like from outside the vehicle, because I feel like a bouncing fool in there.

Yes, i agree with everyone that it's bouncy but it's bearable. I love it.... except for when I need to go to the restroom. Besides, it's not a family sedan.... you would want it to have a very stiff and tight suspension with little suspension travel for the track usage.
I just wish it were a bit lower tho to give the meaner more aggressive stance.
Have they found a fix for this? I have heard some complaints about this in another thread, is it that bad? I do not have my Z yet and I am still waiting to pay off my truck next year. Me and my fiance should need another car I figured I would give her my 99 Isuzu Rodeo and I can get that brand new Z I have been dreaming of for so long. If they had not discontinued the Z in 96 I think I would have bought one back then. Now that its back I am looking forward to getting one myself but all these problems that I read in the forum is making me think about it twice. I hope Nissan resolves most of the issues because I really dont want to be thwarted away from getting a Z.
