If you flip the gas nozzle thing upside down so that the handle is facing upwards it should pump no problem

I had this problem with my 03 and I used to go to a different gas station and could fill up at the other one. Have not had the issue with the 05 yet.. I will let you know if I do

I had/have this problem myself. I took my Z to the dealer when none of the previously mentioned methods would result in more than half a tank of gas. Turns out my sending unit was damaged and needed to be replaced.

Since then I've had the problem occur on occasion. What's odd is that I can go back to the same pump that failed later on in the day and fill up just fine. It's just one of the perks of this car I suppose.

Wow daniel... sorry to hear that.

You bumped this thread from almost 2 years ago just to say that?

Good job using the search engine at least.

Most everyone knows about the fuel problems already.

Yeah....I can't seem to get it filled all the way lately. It stops about 8/10th full or so.

it happens to me sometimes too but regardless of how I play with the nozzle or what I do, it still doesn't work. I have to drive around and try it again later.

I think I have a bit of an odd solution. I pulled up to a Sunoco a couple months ago and this older guy working the station put in the nozzle and sure enough, it didn't take nearly enough. I told him out the window I had this issue where it wouldn't fill all the way up, so he turned the nozzle upside-down. Sure enough, it filled all the way to the top!

So next time you have this issue, try this and see if it works for you as well. It has worked everytime I've tried it.

Haha, I hate when its an old thread bumped. Then again, props for using the search button! Lol.

Hey one of the few and proud blue stripers. I miss you guys, that was funny while it lasted. Sorry to get off the subject.

This is totaly ridicculous and if my car did this i would kick the dealers a$$ and sell the car. the only time i have ever heard of anything like this is on my buddys chevy s-10 with airbags and the gas door shaved. the fill tube was so low after being relocated that the fuel would back up and spill out.... should not happen on a new car for any reason. it is unsafe and just not the way the part was designed to work.

I recommend spraying gas on the front face of the car.... that way it won't mind when you try and force the pump in and fill up all the way.

jk, i had the same problem, only happened once though.

What you can do temporarily is put the nozzle in UPSIDE DOWN, that should do the trick
