Default 35th Edition available next year?

I just got back from the dealership. The guy told me they take their last orders on the 35th in September, and that they won't carry them next year.

Is this true? Basically if I want a brand new 35th, I'll have to get it this year? Or was he just eager to get me to buy now?

It wouldn't be called the 35th! Doubt they will sell them next year and call them the 36th Anniversary,

Hey Ind,

What is it about the 35th ed that you like so much? If your not ready to buy now, no biggie man. Just wait till your ready next summer and get an 06 model. Or left over 05 for cheaper. If its because the 6 speed 35th has 300 hp vs the normal 287hp its not worth it anyways man. They have 300 hp but less torque than the other models. torque is where its at. With an exhaust and intake you will be near 300 crank hp on the normal model anyways. Hope this helps. BEN

lmao, it wouldn`t make much sense to sell the 35th anniversary edition on the 36th year of production

Main thing is the wheels, and brembos. The rear spoiler looks nice too, but you can always add that on as accessory. The wheels/brembos on the other hand would probably be pretty expensive. I suppose you could just paint the calipers...

But yea, just kinda miffed in general. If I get it now I think it will be uncomfortable finance wise...

Personally, If I were you, just look real hard in 06 for an 05 Track Model. Bet you will be able to find one with low miles by then for around 28,000$. It will have the brembos and nicer wheels than the stock 35th wheels anyways. It will also have a small wing, not to big. BEN

so your concerned about the color of the calipers instead of the actual purpose for them.

No, but if I can't have what I want... next best thing I guess.

Ben, I think you're right. I'll see what's around next year. I can always go for accessories, like the nismo rims etc. Until then, I'll post a big picture on our fridge in an attempt to quench my thirst. -- and on your suggestion of buying used... isn't that fairly risky when you're talking about sports cars? Who knows how hard the prev owner drove it. I mean, my Maxima has 170K miles on it, but the previous owner was a university instructor and it's still in perfect condition.

BTW, is this the same spoiler that is available on the 35th Edition:

I think Nissan is trying to find out if customers are buying the touring as opposed to buying the 35th or grand touring. Many members here prefer to have the touring with Brembos and the Rays rims. I drove the 35th and an automatic touring and the automatic seemed quicker--higher torque. I was running along side a camry on a test drive and the kid keprt up--and I was tourquing high on the 35th.

I bet next year Nissan will intigrate the Brembos-possibly the rims or Rays rims onto the touring model. I really wouldn't ponder on it. The 35th isn't cracked up to what it should be.
