Just curious...is the same compound used on the pads with the Brembos as on the stock brakes? Anybody? Also, can someone explain to me the values/differences of soft vs hard pad compounds...Thanks in advance

I drive maybe 10 miles, and there's a coat of dust on it already!

Boy are you in for a surprise when you finallly clean them off. Brake dust pits rims very quickly. I wash my rims every weekend, and I have some pitting allready!

pitting is when the metal gets minute dents in it, so it appears rough and irregular... a good analogy for Z owners would be the orange peel of metal.

Are the rims not clear coated? The rims on the G35C are clear coated, so I would think they would do that for the Z too.

I have around 20,000 miles on my Z3 and I still get tons of brake dust. I don't think its gonna go away unless you change pad compound.
