Default Burnt Orange Vented Seats - Are they comfortable

Just wondering because the dealer didn't have any on his lot. I know the black leathers seem comfortable, but the burnt orange have a different design to them.

Thanks,

They are comfortable. Not recommended if you drive the car everyday though, they don't seem to wear too well.

What do you mean "wear too well'? As in they scratch easily?

I have those seats and i love them, I also have 34,000 miles and the seats look fine. You just have to watch that you dont slide into the seat when you are getting in.

I have them and love them....never any burn with the top down, and very comfortable. No wear problems and I drive my every day.

Besides being comfortable, they are very cool (compared to the all leather seats) when riding with the top down.

I'm assuming the vented seats are wonderful in the summer? Do they cool down quickly with the AC on?

love mine. No problems with wear.

On a dry day, they have a similar effect of walking around on carpet with your socks on. When you go to close the car door, you might get zapped.

I just picked up my car in Austin, TX and drove it back to Phoenix. For the lateral support they provide and given that it IS a sports car, I think they are great! And I love the color combo with the SS or the SB. Very nice. They just need to invent a seat that does the opposite of heating, b/c I'll NEVER use that feature in Phoenix.

Compared to the all leather seats, they're more comfortable for me. The leather seats are just a little too narrow in the shoulders for me though, which is the main reason I like the burnt orange roadster seats better.

In a post about a year old regarding this same subject, I said that I didn't like the burnt orange roadster seats. But having tried the all leather seats several times since then, I prefer the orange seats. That's what our Z has.

Not that this should influence your decision, but I read a recent review of a roadster that I think was written in South Africa. There, the orange seats are an option that you have to pay extra for.

Wha? I thought they were vented as in air is pushed into them. They're heated, so why not make the AC.

Here's a quote directly from Nissan's site.

Ventilated Roadster Seats
Stay warm when it’s cool. And vice versa. With Burnt Orange Leather seats, the Z Roadster is available with one-of-a-kind ventilated mesh seats that help maintain your desired comfort level inside, depending on what it’s like outside.

Hmm, maybe I read into this too much?

If you have the A/C on coming out of the floor vents, I find it cools down my but and back a fair bit. But its not like the A/C seats in the Cadillac's where the air actually forces its way through the seat.

Shoot, that's what I thought they were... Actually I think a salesmen at another dealership I went to said the same thing. Hmm, I feel a little less excited about the seats now.... na... they'll look so damn sexy!!! LOL

+1 on this one.
(Somehow Burnt Orange Leather doesn't look good in my Redline Roadster.)
