Danville Z Viewing

Danville Z Viewing
Saw the car for the first time in person.
It was spectacular. The fit and finish looks excellent (hopefully production cars being built now will adhere to the same standards)
I never really realized how nice the profile of the butt of the car was until today. The blue was very rich and deep .. a color that is very difficult for a camera to capture.
This car is a mean machine. Mark my words that this car will be The Car of the Year for 2003.

Yea I agree .. it was so dark in there .. it felt like some kind of club more then a Auto Museum.
I arrived at about noon and just stayed for an hour because i had some business to attend to.
I wish it would be easier to determine who is a forum member and who isnt .. we should have all wore the same color or a hat or something ..
Anyways .. next time i run into u guys hopefully it will be easy to distinguish each other rolling around in our respective Z's.

I was also there today to see the 350Z in person and must agree that the fit and finish was excellent. It might have been the lights, or lack of them, but the car looks "chunkier" in person than many of the pictures made it seem. I was looking forward to seeing it in Chrome Silver but the blue one was the only one there. By the way, the blue is striking.
Some other opinions: I think the rear spoiler will really help the look of the car as the sloping roofline is very long and the spoiler will help break that up. The interior is very efficient, not flashy and the cloth seats looked great. Make sure the dealer does not install front license plate frame as it will spoil the clean look of the front. Can someone invent a retractable license plate frame?
All in all, a very exciting day!

That's VandyZ... he fit in the car no problem, he's a bigger fella and he said it was comfortable. I have heard of people 6'2 up to 280-300 range being fine... so I figure my 6'0, 195 pound butt will be skinny in the car.

I spotted a very nice Porsche behind me on the interstate this morning. It had no front plate. He passed me a few seconds later and I observed that the car was from California and had been registered there for at least 3 years (you can tell from the license number). The law in California requires a front plate, but I plan to take my chances without one for as long as I can.
