Chances are, they don't give half a **** about internet forums. I would stick to the important points, namely the law which should be on your side (unless your mods really DID cause the failure).

ot and very insignif: you shoulda named your thread "Zed's Dead" (from pulp fiction).
on topic: per a friend who had his tranny replaced and spoke to regional nissan rep in person, breathing mods DON'T void warranty. a/m pullies, reflash, cams, fi, nitrous DO void warranty.
if no one has mentioned it before, read the magnusson-moss act.
good luck. givem hell, but in a good way. having to be forcefully removed from the premises won't help your case. try not to lose it emotionally in front of them. let them know you know your rights and are not willing to be jerked around. get diagnosis, at least, in writing.

Good luck, just remember that people dont respond well to threats! They should only be used as a last resort! Rather than threats bring up certain points from what you researched. That way the dealer understands you know your rights......

Very much luck! FIGHT ON!

i think that's not true. just think about when the guy with the c6 took his car in to the dealership and a service dude wrecked it. I bet if that never got out on the internet and so many people hadn't been talking about the dealership on forums, they would not have replaced the guys car. hopefully, 350zbiturbo will have similar luck. i'll make sure to not take my car to maroone ever.

maybe if they don't want to cooperate you can gather up some of youe my350z brothers from the Miami area and we can go stand directly in front of the dealer with signs saying they don't honor warranties. I am sure when they see 20-30 guys they will start talking. I am sure we can hurt a good weekend of sales. I'll help ya...just let me know.

^^ heh i'm down. it would be ideal to do that during a long holiday weekend, like 4th of july or something, when they have deals and lots of people go to buy cars. that'd really screw them.

that's funny. a friend of mine just got the most boot leg audio install in a brand new g35 sedan, which has resulted in the a/c and the display next to the clock not working. i checked all the wires and they are all in place so we think it might be the microcomputer that is messed up. so he is trying to get help me howard to help him now!

Remember before you start threathening be calm and civil. Let know know you know the law. Also let them know we are ready to protest and their sales will go down.

Since I'm not local, we could fax bomb the dealership too. Get 20, preferably more people to fax them all at the same time to tie up their fax machine for a whole day or days. We could put the same message on our fax too!

and Z BOY, is that a fact that breathing mods dont void warranty or is that based on the individual. Also do you know whether or not it is possible for them to trace a re-flash? I was told it is not but I'm worried they will try to void my warranty, I havnt been to the dealer with headers/exhaust yet and they are not mod friendly.

Also do they note that you have modded your car in their/nissan's records even if nothing has broken, e.g. if I had been for oil change etc. with my mods, then I come back with a broken tranny no mods on will they have record that my car had been modded?

ts says its undetectable unless they rev to 7100 or are able to see that the ecu has been removed at some time.
die die, the guy who told me all this, had breathing mods on his z when they replaced his tranny under warranty.
they only notate your mods if they have something to do with your complaint, me thinks. i've never seen any notation about my mods on my oil change receipt, for instance.
find a better dealer.

I'm sorry to hear about this and wish the best for you. Documentation is extremely important as others are saying.

The one item that hasn't been brought up is this thread. You should delete any information regarding this issue until it is resolved. You do not want to be giving any lawyers ammunition to use against you.

Think of it this way. If the dealer was posting all of his information and thoughts on the web, wouldn't you use it against him?

Ok guys went to the dealer and this is exactly what they said "your car is no longer in our hands, we called nissan and sent them pictures or your mods and car and they declined your claim to fix your motor b/c of your mods, we cannot do anything more and you have to call nissan themselves now, your preaching to us for nothing b/c we cant do anything further"

Looks like you need to make a call to your local Nissan Rep. And that will be no easy task. I was in the same boat about 6 months ago with my Acura RSX-S and now I own a Z and will never set foot in an Acura/Honda dealership again, if thats any inclination at how things may work out.
