1. I have one on the three pod cluster on the steering wheel. It is behind the speedo were the two pieces of plastic come together in the back. It goes away when I push slightly on the top the gauge cluster. Very, very annoying. Gets worse in the cold. Will have it checked when my oil is changed this week.
2. I also had one where the rear view mirror plastic cover mounted into the ceiling. Got some felt pad circles and stuffed them behind the slip cover near the ceiling. All gone.
Some of these are easier then others. It helps to have a friend drive with you and put some non sticky painters tape on the spot.
Good luck!

Static,
One cold morning I had a rattle from the area you describe. I had my spouse (she just happened to be in the car) push down on the small plastic piece at the base of the right A-pillar. The rattle disappeared.
I haven't really heard it since, but I think the stereo masks the rattle. If the rattle persists, I will remove the panel and place some foam padding or silicone sealer behind it.
These kinds of distractions are easily remedied, it's identifying the culprit that is the challenge.

I've had it since day one. I thought I was the only one experiencing the problem. I haven't taken it back to be checked. It comes from the passenger dash board area; and since it's on the other side, I couldn't try to pinpoint its origin. It sounds like a geiger counter. But it doesn't rattle on all types of road surface; mainly on lightly grooved asphalt.

There are two connectors (one on each side) at the front of the dash. One is the security light and the other is a blank. I had a rattle there so I carefully lifted them out with a small screw driver. There are wires underneath that I wrapped with electrical tape around some felt. It seemed to work for me.
I forget because I have had quite a few rattles.
Good luck

Also,
I did push some black felt under the vents at the corners near these buttons. I did alot. And you thought the car was heavy before. I have added at least 5 ounces of felt.

I'll check these locations. Seriously, it sounds like a mini geiger counter. Goes like pprrrpppprppprrrrp...
It has been most annoying to me than any other problem.
