Default What trim is my Z?

Hi all...

Just bought a 2004 350Z from my local dealer. Here Dubai (ME) they only come in one trim level. It's got a Bose sound system, built in 6CD changer, leather seats, rear spoiler, Xenons, parking sensors, 18" alloys, Keyless entry + anti theft system..

Any clue??

Thanks.

Sounds like a touring model to me. Congrats on the new Z.

Your car has the parking sensors, which are not available here in the US. Other than that, all of the items you listed are included on the touring model (except I think the 18" rims are an option...)

What are the parking censors? What do they do? I've never heard of them.

18" wheels are not an option on the Touring. 17s come with the 5AT and 18s come with the 6MT. Brembos with neither. Brembos only come on the Track, 35th Aniv. or the GT Touring Roadster.

17s are standard on the 6MT Roadster as well.

The parking "censors" are those little old people coming out of the drug store that open their doors and ding your Z if you park too close. hehehe...

You know what pisses me off about that? I am NOT the one that parks too close. But, no matter how far out I park, and how many parking spaces are closer to the building, inevitably (sp?) somebody will park damn near on top of me! This happened to me tonite. It was my b-day, so I went to dinner downtown, parked all the way at the top of the parking garage, in a compact spot, next to the elevator, so I could park part way on the yellow painted walkway (submitting only one side of my car to door-ding danger), leaving about 2 feet b/t my driver side door and the parking spot line, and I get back up there and some a**h*** in a giant Ford Pickup is parked in the compact spot next to mine inches away from my door. Ugh, maybe I'm getting old, but I sure am paranoid about this crap.

Nice to see some 350Z's out in the middle east. I have a friend out there (UAE) and the car scene there is crazy when I visited everything was turbo, even his old Toyota Land Crusiser had a 70 trim.

microsteve40...yeah, been there and had that happen to me, too. Once while I was sitting in the car. The no-account white trash had no idea why I was pissed off, either. I got her info and she paid for a paintless dent removal and buff out (I had the shop do the entire car...and she paid for it) after I told her we could do this with, or without, the benefit of consulatation with local law enforcement. <G>

Now it may seem a bit **** to park away, avoid mud puddles, clean and wax once or twice a month and take good care of a vehicle...but, the car I am referring to here is my '95 Impala SS, that car has 128K miles on it and still draws looks, runs great and is still a blast to drive. I want the Z to be with me, in good working order, for a long time so I am gonna take care of it. Yup, like parking wayyy down in the lot, avoiding mud puddles... hehehehe...

You aren't getting old, microsteve40, you just take pride in your possession. That's not a bad thing.
