I want to know about this too. I have only a Motordyne 3/8th's in. plenum spacer and a JWT popcharger. I know that's not a lot but I'm looking for minimal increases in power. Not planning on going all the way to TT, but would like to feel an increase in power.

Oh yeah, I may go resonated test pipes or actual exhaust too. I just don't want my car to sound like a honda with a **** can on it, . Thanks!

If you aren't going to do alot of mods, I would just do the TS reflash. The ultimate eManage, for N/A guys, IMO, is more towards guys going for 280+rwhp.

I would like to do a lot of mods but I'm thinking bang for the buck wise, just keep this car lightly modded and reliable as daily driver (during summer-I have a company car). Then eventually get an R33 or something that has a longer history and thus less expensive, more plentiful aftermarket support for my track/super fast car, . Thanks!

Does anyone have any personal experience with the TS ECU? What kind of gains did you notice while driving? I'm talking about seat of the pants interpretation, .

R33? Good luck. Not going to be cheap. Heck, it'd be cheaper to mod the Z with f/i.

azvren, I strongly suggest the ultimate eManage.

Fletch, engine management really isn't a way to gain more power per say, it's more of a device that enables you to get the most out of your modifications by flattening the AFR, tuning for the proper ignition timing at a given RPM, etc.

Yeah, I guess you're right, but when properly tuned with enough mods to unlock some more power it can definitely bring everything together. And I would say there is a lot more capability in an RB26dett than the new VQ (maybe not forever, but for now with the relative newness of the engine). It's like saying that you want to buy a casette tape player vs. a DVD player. The older the technology, the cheaper it is. You can buy parts (because there are more and they've been around longer) for a skyline motor than you can for the practically new VQ. Just my opinion. I'm not trying to start an argument but don't you agree to some degree? I'm not saying it would be cheap to modify one, just not as expensive as a VQ. Later,
Fletch

^^ you are right that parts are plentiful for the rb26dett. but you will not find many parts locally, and sourcing parts from japan would not be cheap.

^^ Right. If this was Japan, absoultely (it would be cheaper to modify an RB motor). (most performance shops don't even carry anything from GReddy, HKS, etc. for that motor because this is the USA, I had to consider all of this when I was considering importing an R34 over )
