Thumbs up

Performance nissan is one of the best vendors hands down i've ordered the majority of my parts through them and they've handled all my TSB's no questions asked. No complaints whatsoever.

Andy... Your response at the end of our discussion of "I'll tell you what. I won't charge you the 15% and we'll just pay for it" made me feel like an @ss. And that's what left me upset. I try to be fair with everybody, and you made me feel like I was responsible for the situation and I left Performance to pay for my mistake. I would honestly rather you charge me the 15% than to have left things like that. I honestly feel like sh*t. But I think I'm overwhelmingly in the right in this situation.

I'm glad to see the positive responses in support of Performance. I guess this was an isolated situation. I'm conviced enough by the support that I'll be back to give you another try.

Respect

Just a note to address some of the issues by JETPILOT and a couple others on this thread. I do appreciate your input on our back orders, automated order system, and cancellation fees. I promise you all here I will hold a meeting with my staff and see what we can do to work on some of these issues. We only want to be the best and without your feedback that will never happen. So this thread has been a big help in understanding some of our short falls. Please email me at jeffh@perfnissan.com with any other suggestions for improvement anytime. I’m sorry for any problems we have caused, and at the same time happy to have this come out to my attention. Thank you to all of you out there for making us who we are today!!! Jeff

This should have been locked and deleted a long time ago. The general forum doesn't need people slamming a companies name commiting libel because they can't read. What about the forum browser that sees this post but doesn't read it??? You ordered the part. They were ordering it for you. You cancelled the order. They are stuck with the part once ordered. You didn't read their policy. They were kind enough not to make you pay. You gotta remember that almost ALL companies have the same policy in place because they can't keep large inventories of parts and are counting on the customer to purchase the item when they order it. Just think if he had ordered a $5000 ugly body kit that no body in their right mind would want to buy. Now Performance is stuck with that kit sitting in the shop where no one will want to buy it.

I don't know Jason but I think he and I should also have a misunderstanding. I am more than willing to pay shipping. If by chance we can have a very big misunderstanding about a complete Nismo bodykit, I would be willing to pay shipping on that also. Come to think of it, I could use one of everything in the Nismo catalog by way of misunderstanding. Thanks in advance and looking forward to future misunderstandings with you.

Performance Nissan is one of the ONLY online stores I've ever trusted, will trust and had good experiences with... err except that time they sent me an empty box lol but I called them up, we laughed about it and it was taken care of immediatly!

I don't see why you're upset considering everything worked out! There are tons of companies that will Sell, Ship (hopefully within a month) and Forget about it - performance nissan is NOT one of them.

this so typical nowadays. If this happen to by 350zonline then you will see everyone jump in and bash the heck out of them. However, it happen to be Performance then all the love pouring in. We have too many suck up members here. I saw few comment like: I don't see why you're upset considering everything worked out you should be glad that something like this happen so you know what to avoid when you order later. You can't expect a business with all the postive feedback. There will be negative feedback and we need to know about it. Until the next time, just read and digest it before jump in and kiss-a.s.s Peace out.

Did I ever say "special"? I did read the thread. You placed the order, you didn't read the conditions or placing that order, you canceled your order. That is all I need to read. There is nothing shady about it.

To sum it up: 99.9% of us love Perf Nissan. Due to some miscommunication there was an unsatisfied customer who chose to voice his opinion on the forum. As a result, Perf Nissan has learned to improve their website. All in all, happy ending!!!

Like others said, if everything worked out for you, why post this. However, the only reason I can think of, is to warn others that it may happen to them as well. Personally, I agree with you. You shouldn't be charged a fee for something that was backordered. People just got too defensive in this thread, thinking that the point was to attack someone.

I also had a fine experience with Performance Nissan.

Consider yourself lucky.

Through a different vendor (NOT Performance), I tried to cancel an almost $5000 order a on a part that hadn't even been manufactured yet (though I was led to believe that it was ready to ship) and the distributor (who charged my CC and then waited over a month before even ordering the part from the manufacturer) wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee when I found out about his scheme. $1000 fee to cancel an order for something that doesn't even exist yet can really **** you off. And he wouldn't budge. I think based on the last three pages, you can see that Performance is one of this forums most respected vendors, and their guys are our friends and fellow Z enthusiasts. They wouldn't do you wrong, and they proved it.

My only input to you is that you should have experessed your discontent to Performance directly, not publicly called them out on a forum like this, especially given that they did right by not charging you the fee that they will ultimately absorb, and you were legally obligated to pay by the fact that you completed the order transaction process.
