Default Performance Nissan = Shady Bussiness Practices (Rant)

I purchased wheel spacers for my car online @ Performance Nissan's website. I used their online shopping.

I bought these: http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...roducts_id=385
I asked when I purchased these if it could not ship in 24 hours please notify me. I received an E-mail saying that they were backordered, and would be shipped withing 7-10 days.

I found the wheel spacers somewhere else, and called today to cancel my order. I recived an e-mail saying that I could cancel my order but they would charge me 15% for cancelling a special order item. You gotta be sh@iting me !!!

I said special order? Where did u say it was special order? They used the word backordrered. If i had been notified that this was a special order item I would have told them forget it. Now he wants to charge me 15%????

They're crazy. After a heated argument on the phone they say they are comming through and won't charge the 15%. I will believe it when I see it. The ***** on these people.

Shady company. Do business somewhere else.

Performance Nissan

Respect

Your probably 1 out of a thousand that has a complaint. I frankly think they are a great bunch of folks. They did say they would credit you the 15%, I don't see the big deal.

There are other vendor(s) on this site, who will remain nameless that have the word shady, but not Perfomance Nissan.

BTW, I bet if you posted a poll on this so-called shady company, there would be 1 check by shady and it would probably come from you. Just my .02! I don't see what the rant is, I could see if they charged you 15% though!

Jet, if they agreed (in the end) to NOT charge you the 15% why are you giving them public grief?

Sorry you had a bad experience there. I've ordered the Zee Bracket, JWT Pop Charger, and exhaust from them with no problems. So, for the most part I think they do their best to keep the customer satisfied. I think many will vouch for their good customer service.

I don't think you needed to put them on blast... I can see if this has been an ongoing problem for months, then it would make sense to let other forum members know.

I don't know bro I've purchased quite a bit from them and they've always had great customer service. Great company IMO.

at least you know what to expect later.

I talked to Jason few times and he seem to be a great guy. Bottom line, i would CALL the vendor to order, that way, you know exactly what you will expect and no suprise later.

As stated in the DELIVERY INFORMATION screen of our web sites check out process:

Below are estimated shipping rates which are provided by the UPS website.
Your shipping cost may be higher if your order has to be shipped in more than one box or if your order is an oversized container. We will contact you before we charge your credit card if this happens.
We do not guarantee any shipping times for ANY deliveries and no refunds will be given on shipping charges. If you wish to be informed about a backorder, please use our Backorder Service.

COD Orders: We no longer accept COD's! All payment must be made before item is shipped. If you wish to still pay by money order, cashiers check or personal check, this is no problem, but the funds must clear the bank before any items are shipped.

Refused Truck Shipment & Cancelled Orders: Freight charges incurred by PerformanceNissanParts.com while attempting to deliver merchandise which is refused will be billed to the customer. ALL cancelled orders are subject to a 15% restocking charge.

International Shipping - Performance NISSAN is not responsible for any Brokerage, Duty, or any other fee's that may be applicable by the receivers Country, Province or State.
Next time, use our 866 number = 866-211-7389 or email to ask if we have the product in stock. Most products are in stock or ship 1-3 days after order is placed. Or Put in the comments section of the order that if product is not instock you would like your order to be CANCELLED if the product can not ship whithin the next 24 hours.

Performance Nissan is one of the best to deal with. I have had one or two minor problems and they have steped up to the plate and made things right EVERY time.

Basically, you didn't read and you b*tch and they are nice enough to not charge you? That sounds like a good company to me.

I've ordered from them and had no problems. If they aren't charging you then don't say they are a shady company just because of a misunderstanding.

can contact any one of us.

We can cancel orders before the products are ordered without a penalty, but if they are ordered, we will get hit with the 15% restocking fee from most of the manufacturer's as well.

FYI- Nothing was ever charged to your credit card so please do not expect a credit from us. When customer's place orders through our website, credit cards are billed out manually and accordingly, theyre not charged right then and there when you place your order. Thanks.

I too have ordered products from Performance Nissan without any issues. I'd order from them again without hesitation.

I too have had nothing but good experiences with Performance Nissan. I had an emergency one time in regards to my headlights & they shipped it to me ASAP. IMO I think their Customer Service is top notch & far from "shady"! I agree, you should definitely call, email, or what I did...PM them to ask first prior to making your order online. That way, you know exactly what to expect.

A 15% restocking fee isn't that big of a deal, dude. And they're not charging you it? WTF? Whether you realize it or not, it usually costs money to cancel orders. Typically companies that process credit cards are charged a per transaction fee of some percentage of the total price plus some other fixed "convenience" fees. Often there are two transactions done on orders. The first is a verification that checks to see if the card is valid and has enough funds. The second is a capture that actually collects the money. So take that amount, the amount involved in ordering items not in stock plus the time it took someone to do do all this and it adds up. That's one of the reasons most places have restocking fees. Start a business, deal with this stuff (and a lot worse) daily and then come back and rant about "shady" business practices. You got a good deal. Deal with it.

I've purchased nismo exhaust, wheels and tires, gtspec frame braces and several other mods from performancenissan, dealing w/ Jason, Andy and Tony.
In every transaction, they have been helpful, completely up-front, and very professional. IMO, you could not wish for a better source for parts and info.
Fair prices, too. Not always the best price, but out of loyalty, I prefer to deal with a vendor who has always dealt square with me. I trust these guys.
