Default Jacking the Z up?

Hello,
I got some test pipes to install but I was wondering how I should go about getting the car in the air. That plastic plate over the front seems to make getting a jack under it to a liftable spot rather difficult. What methods do you guys use?

Rhino Ramps make getting under the car a breeze That is, if you're on stock suspension...

there are jack points under each side of the car. The owners manual shows you where they are at. They run parallel with the running boards under the driver and passenger doors.

Speaking of test pipes, here's a related question. How would it sound with stock exhaust and just cheap, non resonated test pipes? Anyone had any experience with this? I'm still trying to decide if I want to do it. I want less restriction but don't want it to sound like a honda with a fart can on it. Thanks!

I took it up on Rhino ramps, but it rubs the front spoiler (the aero package little lip thing) all the way down, which kinda sucked, and the ramps don't leave a lot of room to work, to say the least.

Oh well. I've done worse on those ramps on my last car. haha

You have to be very careful when going up the ramps. When testing them I noticed when I was slightly off they rubbed the front bumber piece thingy but you could get the Rhino Ramps to work without rubbing if you were very careful.

I took about 15 mins just to get them up on the ramps to see what kind of clearance I would have to install my test pipes (doing it on the morrow). I have a dip in my drive way so I'm going to use that to my advantage and get the car up as high as possible with those ramps and see if I can reach the tops of the cats...

I'm just afraid of the car crushing me to death, that would suck. And not in a good way.

honestly, oil changes are one thing to do under ramps, but I dont see doing exhaust work as a good idea, especially with all the force you will need to break some bolts loose, what you will be doing is SUPER dangerous.

How is using ramps dangerous? I would think using stands is more dangerous than using ramps since the lifts can fall but a ramp is a wide base using the actual suspension secured by the actual car. Enlighten me.....

how can the lifts, fall, if you jack the car up in the front and put jack STANDS on the sides, it is the most stable form one can work with in his garage.

lol im a retard anyway, i forgot the ramps had the lil cuffs to hold the tire in place

i say either way is fine then

Guys,

I am in situation where my injen exhaust and the car is lowered makes it harder to jack from the front and rear.

I have to use a jack to lift the car on the side, then put the jack stand at the mounting point. Doing this way, my sides are all "bent".
