rock chipping: change your driving habit. Do not tailgate big truck, keep a distance from the car in front of you,

seriously, there is nothing much you can do. Or just get a leather cover that the deal sell and put them on.

Yes, I would also like to buy a product that will A) prevent people from backing in to me, and B) in the odd chance that A fails, keeps my car from being damaged by said backer.

As for the rock chips, what do you mean the clear-bra isn't helping? If you're getting chips higher on the hood (i.e. closer to the windshield than the bra covers), then what would you expect anyone to tell you? Like Bubble said, change your driving habits.
