help picking the right car
I owned a 1987 300z and it was my favorite car. Finally kids are old enough and I am able to get a 350z. There are so many choices I am confused>
I do not want to waste money on options not needed but am willing to spend if it is important.
Any and all imput is helpful

If you have no intentions to modify the car in the future then I would say go all out and get a 35th annv. ed. with the brembo brakes and leather. If you are more into looks and aren't worried about the performance aspect, I say get a touring model. I would recommend getting nothing lower than the Enthusiast model. There aren't really too many differences between the models though. The car come well equipped at Enthusiast level. Do you want 18" wheels? Do you want Brembo brakes. Do you like heated leather seats.

No = get 35th annv ed loaded out
Yes = get touring model and go nutty
If you can deal with cloth, manual seats with no heaters
Get Enthusiast Model and get crazy
The Touring 6MT has pretty much everything including leather.
Are you keeping your Z31? I loved my 87. She had 390k miles on her when I let her go
edit: I just noticed you said "owned" so I guess you won't be keeping her

I'd suggest you go to edmunds.com and find out the dealer-paid price for the model you're interested in. After that, $500 over dealer invoice should be all you have to pay. Sometimes you read of people doing better but I think that can be more likely in places like S. Calif. where all the product goes and all the buyers live. 6 weeks ago I bought an '05 Entusuast from Fitzgerald in Chambersburg Penn. for $400 over invoice. I'd recommend these guys, internet sales mgr. Charles Gebler specifically. First time I've ever purchased a car from people who didn't seem like former/potential prison inmates. Check www.fitzmall.com as they list their prices on every car in their inventory.

AWSOME PICTURE!!!!!
Which part of New Jersey are you located? If your anywhere around the Morristown or Morris Plains area, you can go to Warnock nissan, Or call them, They will give you a amazing deal on leases or fiancing or if you want to just pay it out. I am waiting for my father to return from Europe, They are giving me a silver on black performance [12k miles 03'] for $22,500 cause we have purchased numerous cars from them before. Let me know if you are interested :-)
You want performance + comfort, get the touring for under the 35k mark. If you're looking at convertible and trying to stay under 35K or at 35k OTD, best bet would be the enthusiast z roadster, if you're lucky. Or here's another option, get a performance, add the leather get it for like 32K OTD, and then add an aftermarket navigation system in it, or a performance mod, whatever you feel like doing.
