It was my first $ addition to my ride. I think it is well worth it. I hate rock chips!!!
You all know how thin the paint is on our rides. My friend got a E46 around the same time (11 months ago) and his front hood area has about a dozen chips already.

I intend on getting a 05 Z white. I wanted black, but many members have steered me away from it due to the difficulty maintenance of the black. Now if I get the clear bra on a white Z, and it gets discolored or begins to look yellowish, can you take it off? How does that work? I guess I should just Google it, but any feedback would be great.

rfdgn1228 - Monster Coatings in Garfield, NJ. They did a great job on mine. Their office number is 973-983-7662, but the best way to contact them is by email first at monstercoatings@aol.com. Tell them you were referred from this board by the guy with the yellow Z and he should give you a discount.

Xneo, any of these films that are used for clear bra's can be removed if necessary, it's a bit of work but they do come off. One important thing to remember is find out what type of warranty your installer offers all of these clear bra's should be warrantied against yellowing, peeling, cracking.

This is for all who have clear bra's already and for those thinking about it. When waxing your clear bra try to use a wax that contains no dyes in the wax meaning if it is not clear or white in color it can accelerate the process and cause premature yellowing of the film if you have a color other than white it will most likely never become apparent but I still would use a wax that contains no dyes. My distributor recommends using Plexus which is design to be used on all types of plastics for more info go to plexusplasticcleaner.com. Some of you who have had covertibles with the plastic rear window may already be familiar with this product. This is the best thing to use on your clear bra.

I had one installed for about 900-1000$... of course at the dealership. But love it and don't have any chips or scratches yet!

i have a clear bra installed through the dealer.. for bout $600, on my black zr, covers lights, front section, door edges, side mirrors, etc.. use zaino on the entire car, the shine is a little duller on the clear bra part but it is well worth it.. i dont like the look of a regular nose guard on the zr.

I got the 3M XPEL kit installed for $550. It included the headlight kit, bumper, mirrors and hood. The installation was excellent. The installer took 2 hours to meticulously clean everything, first. The few bubbles that appesred were gone within one month.
