I know that the Maximas had been an issue with headlights being stolen. Since, they have changed them to HID. This is the first I have read or heard for the G35.

Yeah I heard about the maxima headlights how the hid can fit into many of the older models. That's why they're such a hot item with theives, I haven't heard any issues with the Z though.

This was discussed some years back, and some articles posted. It seemed that the Maxima headlights were very easy to steal, and I think that it was easily done even with the hood down, I believe.

Dang, I need to do something about my 02 Maxima. I think there is a recall to fix those, but I believe they are up north. Not sure though.

I don't think the 350Z will have this problem. They'd have to take off the whole front bumper in order to remove the headlights & the only way to remove the front bumper is to pop the hood open. Then again, if people really want it, they usually find a way. I would think it'll be a b*tch to try though on a 350Z.

I do believe I read that the state of NJ was sueing Nissan. Nissan knew there was an issue with theft on the Maxima headlights, and did nothing about it except collect money from the poor victims. I guess there were hundreds of cars affected in NJ alone. Nissan now has a clip or angle iron of some kind for the Maxima headlights, which I guess makes it hard for thieves.

Yeah...this is an older issue and it was prevalent with the Maximas. I don't recall any Zs being affected. We should be safe. Knock on wood.
