TCS and VDC?
Please excuse my noobness....
This is my first vehicle with this option in my hands.
1.) exactlyw hat do these options do/dont do?
2.) Should they always be on? Should they be put on only during certain times?
3.) Whats the difference between them?
thanks in advance.

Run a search on TCS and VDC and you'll find quite a few threads.
1) TCS is traction control and VDC adds yaw correction to it.
2) On or Off is personal preference or judgement. Most people do have it on for bad weather driving and most people have it off for competition but there is no set standard.
3) VDC is a stage upgrade to TCS. Both are brake technologies designed to enhance the driveablity and/or safety of the car.

1)TCS - Traction Control - ya start spinning your tires, the ECU cuts the power to your wheels to regain traction.
1) VDC - Vehicle dynamic control - ecu senses oversteer or understeer in the vehicle and makes the necessary adjustments to fix the problem.
2)It's a matter of preference. If this is a new car for you, I'd recommend it. For me, always on for rain or snow. Off for warm days on roads I know, or at the track.
Do a search... you'll find a lot more detail.
