Cool Filling tank.

Today I tried filling the tank but the nozzle kept tripping after 3 - 4 gallons. I had to pull the nozzle out just a little and finally got 13.3 gallons in it. Wonder how many of you experiance this? I'm aware of the past shuttle valve problems. I hope this isn't it. New 05 touring.

Hmmm i hadnt heard about there being a tsb for this. Its only happened twice to me in the two years i've had the car. Kinda doubt its worth risking a dealership messing with my car unless i'm up near courtesy at some point.

Rotate the handle 90 degree while holding down trigger always works. Otherwise, the TSB.

Yes a Z problem, but try using a different pump at the station, or go to a different station. Some pump nozzles work perfectly fine! Ive learned which ones to avoid at the multi-pump Shell station I use.

I just avoid Shell gas stations, period. Not because of the gas filling problem. Just because of their gas and their previous problems.

BP Amoco Ultimate of Chevron w/ Techron for me please.

Anyone had the problem "fixed" at the dealer to find out later that you can't get gas into the car at all? I pump 2 cent in and it overfills.

On my gas gauge the needle does show past FULL when FULL. The shut off works properly on my car as well.

BlackSpec02-Maybe you need the gas tank fix /shutter valve TSB. Maybe?

I had the problem when my ZR was new - took it in to the dealer to fix this issue, which was before the TSB was out, and they had no idea. Good news is over time it stopped, 2 yrs later and the problem has fixed itself - never have the problem any more.
