Default Does our Z has stock car alarm system?

One day while I was boring, I decide to test the alarm system of my 03 Z. After I used remote control to lock the car( I was inside the car), I unlock my door by hand and open it, my car didn't do nothing. Same situaction on my last car ( 02 Accord), the alarm actived while I open the door. Why my Z didnt had any response?...Does our Z has stock car alarm system?..or it just a lock/unlock system?...

I was outside my 04 z with the windows down and i stuck my arm in and opended the door and mine went off. So i guess mine has a base alarm. I know there are no sensors on the outside though

Try setting the alarm and then popping your hood (roll the windows down first, and reach inside to pop it).

Your alarm will go off.

I think the Z automatically disarms itself when you unlock the doors, whether you use the key fob or the key itself.

the only time mine has gone off was when I hit the panic button to scare away a couple kids on bicycles.

I thought the Z did not come with an alarm but what they call Nissan's "anti-theft." I'll have to arm my car while in it and then open the door and see

I spoke to dealership about this and he said it is made to go off with forced entry. It automatically disarms when opening door with Keyfob, key, or manually from inside.

P.S.
You should have seen the look on his face when I asked him if we can test it out right now after he explained that the alarm only goes off when the door is cracked open with a crow bar or key hole is tampered with. :O I laughed and pushed him like Elain on Seinfeld and the chick at the reception desk started to laugh. I should have given her my number.
