youre right...
but if it voids the warranty completely... then you gotta weigh the consequences. Dont want my engine/transmission giving up on me the next day, only to have these monkeys tell me its because of something I did (even though it may have nothing to do with the part that goes wrong).
Im gona visit a different nissan dealer, as well as give Nissan Canada a call and let them know what I think about their vehicle.
But my guess is, even if they were to "fix" it... it would be temporary, only to have it return a few thousand miles later.
GUess the Camber Kit is a must.

well, if your engine/transmission died, they would have to be able to prove that the suspension mods did that and theres no way in hell they could prove that beacase your suspension has nothing to do with those things.

Consider if you do it 6 times in 30k miles (expected life of the tires) arent you spending MORE on rotations then on new tires every 15k miles?

Harass your dealership to replace the tires on your '04 for feathering. The deal in the USA was that if you did it before 12,000mi (19,312km) then you could get new tires. I complained to my dealership at about 10k and a few weeks later I got new tires. They also gave me a free alignment hoping it would fix the problem in the future. What tires have you guys been putting on your car after the stock ones wore out?

Can some 04-05 owners who have had Nissan do the work for them throw in some advice. This is complete B.S

Good luck to all on the feathering issue. I just didn't want to deal with the noise and Nissan/dealer bull anymore...I commend all of you still fighting Nissan with this. I hope the tire feathering class action lawsuit against Nissan turns out in your favor, but I'm suspecting the lawyers will take everything they can get. Get 'em guys!

Have you tried going to other dealers in your area?

nah, only gone to one dealer to date.
What I dont understand is... dont they have to get the "ok" from nissan Canada/ NNA?
Why wouldnt my dealer want to do it? Its not as if they're losing money, NNA will have to pay them...
My guess is NNA/Nissan Canada is simply telling them not to do it.

Costs around 40 buks. Seems worth it to me, a new set of tires runs me 1300 buks.

Also, what sort of tires are you buying that are 300+ dollars? I can find you a better set than the craptenzas for 150....
From my understanding, having your tires (directional tires) rotated is 40+ dollars PER ROTATION, usually 60 bucks. That means after 6 rotations you have spent 360 bucks in only rotations just to give your front tires what, 10-15k extra miles?
Seems better to me just to live with the feathering and buy tires every 15k miles.
BTW, I had my tires rotated after the feathering (which was mild) and very soon the ROAAAAR got much worse! My wife couldnt stand it...
Just IMO, but I dont think rotating yuor tires every 3-5000 miles is an acceptable solution..

I only rotate the fronts.
Im running 255-35-19s for a 9.5" wide rim in the front, and 285-35-19 for a 10.5" wide rim in the rear.
Your roar may have gotten worse but you also dont have a camber kit which is what fixes them, doesnt make much sense to rotate a tire thats being feathered anyhow to the other side where itll do the same thing.

Ahh yes, +1 to the camber kit. Why doesnt Nissan just install these on 03s and 04s with feathering instead of buying more and more tires?
And I agree with you about rotating the tire.. I didnt realize it would make the sound worse, I thought it would just extend the life of the fronts so they matched the rears...

only way i could really see it working with rotating tires with feathering is if the setup on the car wasnt staggered, so you could rotate the front wheels to the back becasuse the fronts are the ones that feather, then again, its because of the staggered setup that the front feather anyhow, so yeah, stuck between a rock and a hard place. Id just get the camber kit, itll do a world of difference.
