"Pre"-Order Program
Ordered in Jan, car just came in last Saturday, but it has "paint blemishes" that the dealer must fix before delivering.
This after months of "any day now," " there's a shortage of aero packages so your car is still at the factory," "the blue ones are harder to get," "Nissan really does care about the pre-order people even though people walk in off the street and have bought your exact car off a dealer lot for MSRP and we can't get yours"
I'm 300 miles from the dealer, so can't really inspect to see just how bad it is, but this is the nail in the coffin for me. Nissan doesn't get my money now.
Enjoy your Zs, folks. I'm jealous, but too pissed off to reconsider.

Bad experience, Kurt. Sorry to hear that. Don't give up on the Z though. We do have a bunch of them here in Seattle with a nice group of 350Z owners (see the Northwest regional section of this forum)
See John Potts at Town and Country Nissan in North Seattle (where I got mine) or try Nissan of Fife - it is recommended highly here on this forum. Dealers here are selling at MSRP for the most part so something might fall in your lap. Heaven knows it did not happen before!
[just realized you have been around for a while and know the Seattle forum - sorry]

Kurt,
I'm sorry this happened to you. I would give this a couple of days and then maybe consider looking for an existing Z at MSRP or maybe even less. Since you really wanted this car, albeit undamaged, you would probably still be happy with an unblemished one. You can even reconsider the color/model now without any penalty.
Find a good dealer and let him help you find a good car.
Best of luck in any decision you arrive at.
Hang in there.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. If not for this forum, I probably would have believed the info that the dealer was feeding me all these months!!!
Good luck with your cars - maybe I'll get one SOMEDAY. Not soon though.
