Nissan does not sell 10 year warranties, if I am mistaken only Kia/Hyundai does and its only for certain power train parts! Read the fine print, the most they give is 6 year 100,000.

Oh and BTW, the dealer did not give you the extended warranty free, you will pay for it when you take it in for service, trust me. I smell tuna!

and what is the warranty anyway? Is it the real NIssan warranty? Because, if he "gave" that to you, there is no way he can force you to come to his dealership. You have the warranty and can go to any dealer you want. NOw, if he gave you some piece of paper saying "XYZ dealership warranty" or something strange like that, then, yes, he could void it if you go elsewhere. HOWEVER, I don't see how that warranty is going to hold up over time. HOw does he get NIssan to pay him back for work on your car at 75K miles?

"ummmm.. yes, NIssan corporate? I promised this guy I'd cover his car... so can you pay me back for this new engine I installed?"
Other side of conversation: "Hahahahahahahahahaahahahaahahah...."
