Default Why is this happening? (or not?)

My car has decided it will no longer audibly signal me with the horn when I lock the door by the remote.

I knew it wouldn't do that if one of the door or the rear hatch was left open but they are all closed.

I have begged and pleaded to no avail. Is my car just being rude?

hold down the lock and unlock key on the remote for 3 seconds, you should get a honk to confirm the switch to non-silent mode locking

Hehe, personally I turn mine off. The honking sound reminds me of my early driving years.......(reminisce music and haziness) I'm 16 years old wearing baggy pants and a big *** shirt to match. My pager goes off so I call up my "homie" these were the little gangsta years
Me: "What up! I got my Moms van lets do something."
Friend: "Aiight! like what?"
Me: "Whatevers..."
Friend: "Aiight lets roll"

.......(back to present time) I've come a long way since my Moms van

Arlintonz - Your a car psychologist if there ever was one. Genius I say.

elms350z - I just have to use it because I use my car for my outsides sales job. Getting in an out of it probably 30-40 times a day, many times I forget to lock it until I am half way across the parking lot and I just want to know that it has in fact locked.

And I never went through the gangsta phase. It didn't hit my part of Texas until I was in my mid 20's and already stuck in my ways.

I can understand your reservations about it though. ( )

PerfectOddZ not a genius, I just needed to know how to silence the honk when over at friends houses, but in my garage I can't even hear myself think so I need something noisey to confirm. Glad to hear it worked.

You know, there's this wonderful little book that has this and lots of other valuable info about the 350z. You can even see it online, free of cost:
