I did the same thing when I first got my Z! haha it sucks I was pissed. First I tried to fix and paint it myself, came out pretty crappy but the average person couldn't tell. Then I bought an aftermarket bumper, ficed out fiberglass one. FU%& that thing. Finally I bought a whole new kit (still fiberglass but now I have airride). Whatever you do don't get fiberglass unless you're on air, even still you'll run into problems. Poly all the way. Or get OEM with a poly lip.

I do not foresee an entire new kit for this but I am looking at maybe just stock with lip and intake duct. Ill do some research through out and make sure i make a good decision. I will get rid of the Nissan emblem and give it a cleaner look.

I assume this is happening with lowered cars the most?

I have seen a few for sale with cracked and broken bumper kits from exactly that.
My wife's car is lowered and it look cool, handles well in the twisties, but otherwise, the ride is hard, you cant go over anything without bottoming out and me being 6'3" it is a pita to get in and out, lol guess I am getting old but I am not lowering my Z.

Def dont need this headache.

that's what I usually do, but this parking lot is a mess, right in the middle of a college town, on a road that leads right out of the school onto the main road (you have to drive through the parking lot to get to it) and on the same plaza as the most popular club/venue in town

and my Z isn't even lowered, but this stupid metal rod screwed me

lol that rod sits lower than the top of the cement block. You're not supposed to pull all the way up to them to the point your car bumper is over them. That's not what they are there for, they're there to stop a vehicle if it pops out of gear and to stop a roll away. So really you screwed it up by pulling up to close to it, it's not a tire rest ya know.

not it doesn't, it sticks out, my insurance even deemed the accident as no fault

only problem is my deductable is too high to bother with something like this, specially since it would takes months before I can get my money back
