Sounds like heated seats on the Touring model will get a lot of use from you. Probably won't use mine too much in Dallas.

Thumbs down winter driving

I would not recommend winter driving of this car. Have had several sports cars 280Z, 300ZX, RX-7TT and3000GT. They are a handful to driver in snow. They lack traction and tend to slip and slid and spin under acceleration. Also road salt tends to eat away the body very fast. Would recommend winter rat for driving and keep Z car for spring, summer and fall.

I have driven thge following cars all winter long in NJ and MD:

1970 240Z
1973 240Z
1975 240Z
1978 240Z
1984 300ZX
1990 300ZX
1994 RX7

They are not great but the only one I hated was the 1984 300ZX. It was bad. Anti lock brakes on the 1990 and 1994 cars helped. I got the performance model with anti lock brackes, traction control, and VDC, which means it has to be the best car in the snow that I have owned. I'm going to drive in the snow and as long as you are careful and know the limitations you'll be OK.

I also have never had any road salt eating away any of the bodies.
