Smile My 2003 Z...Can't wait to drive it!

I can't imagine worrying about how many miles I put on this car. If I'm going to pay for this INCREDIBLE CAR then I'm going to drive it to work all the time. I live in North Tampa also and I drive 50 miles round trip every day. Keep driving.....

I was going to keep my 200SX as a daily driver, but some dumb, uninsured ***** totaled it while I had the down payment check for my Z on the passenger seat.

6 months later, I'm not so convinced that the SX wouldn't be gathering cobwebs anyway. Zed is just too much fun to leave in the garage all week.

Default 2 cars?

my commute is 30 miles each way!!! thinking of buying a secondary car

I have 3 choices:
94 corolla (auto) for 1000
91 toyota (auto) pickup for 1500
91 mr2 (manual) for 1500

all these cars are reliable too. lol..didnt realize that theyre all toyotas.....shoot all 3 cars combined are a a bit more than the rims i want.

Stick is necessary for the Z..but the luxury of an auto is nice for the commute even if its a old azz car.

i hate people that dont like putting miles in a car. Do everyone a favor and give the Z to someone who will drive the car like its meant to be driven, and as much as it SHOULD be driven...

Aha,

So in YOUR opinion, the Z is meant to be driven either at 10mph bumper to bumper or at 65mph on boring highway in a straight line?

Nah, my Z is for curves and fun !

...What? Where did i meantion anything about 10 mph, 65 mph, or a highway? Hell, you can drive a car anywhere. What makes it fun is HOW you drive it.
And about your curves and fun, im happy for you. I do AutoX as much as possible and go to track days atleast once a month. Hope you arent insinuating (sp) that im one of those drag racers. Because you would've been mistaken.

PS: the highway can be made fun when attacking traffic late at night with some other car chasing after you (of course that other car not being a cop lol)

You didn’t say anything about the 10mph thing. It was just more fun to assume you meant it and tease you about it!

I don’t do AutoX. I think it’s a waste of time and resources and it just hurt the car. That’s just my opinion. I do plenty of full road course track days though.

I don’t speed on the highway ‘cuz I believe I pay enough taxes as it is and don’t want to contribute more than necessary !

Daily and weekend driver for me and I don't feel bad putting miles on it! It's a car made to be driven; I say drive it as much as you can then trade up for a later model (400Z/450Z?)!

It's my daily driver to commute to class and work every weekday. Probably about 10 miles for that. Girlfriend's house is 10 miles away so about a 20 mile commute back and forth.

Bought the car in Jan. 05, put about 25k miles on it so far (@53k now).

In 10 years I doubt I'll even want to drive a combustion engine sports car as my daily driver, the gas prices would just **** me off even in our cars. 50 bucks a fill up is painful enough, so I'm going to enjoy her while I can. That's part of the reason I bought the z though, she is a very efficient car.
