I am looking to purchase a 350Z. I test drove one last night and here's the deal.
A 2003 350Z Silverstone Touring Model with:
1)Heated Leater seats
2)Bose stereo
3)VDC
4)6spd
5)18k miles
Price=$23,600
Good Deal? kelly blue book lists the car at $27,790 retail.
Let me know
Thanks.

Trade-in Value is $20,825 (this is what a dealer would offer ... I don't think you'll find this on any free online evaluation).
SO... $23,600 isn't bad. I'd be working more around $23K even, personally.

Retail Value
Here is the value listed by Kelly blue book (www.kbb.com) Retail is listed at $27,790.00 in my zip code. I am trading in a car so a private sale is out of the question and I dont feel like going through the hassle of selling my trade myself.

Is there a specific thread for tire feathering so I can read up on the problems? Was it corrected in 04 models? I read that is was a problem in 05 models again.
Oh and thank you for your responses guys, I appreciate the information, it really helps out!

Just do a search for "2003 Z" or "Tire Feathering".....you'll find some stuff. Remember the '03 was the FIRST year for the new model Z, so there were some initial QC issues, that were corrected in the '04 and '05.
All of those crazy people having orgasms about getting their 2006 Pontiac Solstice Roadster are gonna be singing the BLUES, when all the Recalls and TSB's start to roll da hell outta GM Dealers and into their mailboxes. And becuz it's a Pontiac, there WILL be problems.... GUARANTEED!

kbb is only a guide....right now, they're very off on their values...i think $23k is a bit high for a 2003....I'd go with a 2004...i have a buddy who is a service advisor for Nissan and he told me not to get the 2003 because there were so many flaws in them....and they problems were fixed with the 2004/2005 models....Qbrozen is right about the trade in value for the car...I'd suggest that you keep looking...and look for private owners...what you should do is call up your local Nissan dealers or any dealership for that matter and ask them if they can do what they call an "in-and-out" for you....what they do is you bring the car to them, they buy it from the owner for whatever value you and the owner have agreed upon, they cut the check for that amount to the owner, and stock that car in and sell it back to you...they usually charge about $300 for the doing that (so if you agreed with the owner that you'll buy for $23,000 you will buy it from the dealership for $23,300) AND they can take in your trade for you and you'll still get the tax savings....the advantage of going thru a Nissan dealership is you can buy their extended warranty for the car and man will that come in handy....
