Are there any screws rattlin the handle? They should be in the handel behind the silver cover. If not they should be in the door still. Determine if the screws are stripped, just backed off from not having a lock washer, or just loosened from vibrations.

BTW: The passenger door handle is a "holy sh|t" handle. It's there for the passenger to hang onto when the car is doing some twisties (the driver gets to hold onto the wheel for that). The passenger door handle is not there to yank the door closed. That's why the driver side door does not have that handle there. (at least that is what the tech guy said.) After I got mine fixed (see previous post) I yanked at it anyways and it is pretty damn sturdy.

Looking at your cellphone pics, it looks like the plastic broke off and it's not any loose bolts. Is the girl your dating a weight lifter or something? O.o

hahaha, she is definately NOT a weightlifter nor big boned in anyway. I'm not quite sure what else to use to close the door other than that bar, although I agree it does serve a dual purpose as a handle/holy **** bar. I can't think of many people I have taken on any hard rides that would cause any premature wear though.

Wow. Is it possible that the handle was hit from a different angle before? Hard to believe that it would come off like that. Have not heard of a similar problem before either.

Now that we're all curious about your gf, got a picture of her?

Ehh.. blame your date. Was she ogre sized or similar to looking like a sasquach? Witht those big strong arms of hers let her work off the debt by challenging drunken rednecks in various bars and saloons to an arm wrestling competition and take those winnings to pay you back

And STILL we have all kinda peeps posting shyt like "I'm looking at buying an '03 Z...for $XX,XXX , is that a good deal?"

I would write a letter to Nissan about that shyt, on the serious tip....That's a serious QC issue that probably wouldn't happen to a damn GM car, so that's REALLY sad, IMO.

Not the flagship? Its the definition of flagship - the signature sports car -park one or two eye candy Zs [ rx-8s / s2000s / vetts - depending on dealership] out at the very front to lure the herd in to graze on the lame sedans/suvs that cover the rest of the planet

better the door handle coming off than the engine not starting (and the crazy guy with the hook scratching your car and that messy throat slicing etc etc...)

jim [likes his cow metaphor]

ps - wonder what the talk is over on myarmada.com - just filled my tank for $75 for the third time this week....

ps2 - just got the John lamm (not lame) 'behind the resurrection of a legend' 350Z book - off amazon.com - lots of good background info

i think you need to find a girl who doesn't care for a guy's door handle...i think she's too materialistic....ditch her before she becomes too costly...
