I got an email from my dealer last night that said that they showed delivery of my car on 12/20. So I start going cuckoo instant messaging everyone I know and writing down a list of car-related things I need to do.

This morning I get another email asking to call the dealer. So I call and they re-checked and my delivery date is now January 21st.

grrrrrrr

 

Damn, I'm sorry, that sucks. How could they mess up the delivery date that much? Do you have your VIN? If so, how long have you had it?

 

I just got the VIN today...I asked what it was when I got the original mail.

 

My dealer told me the weekend before Thanksgiving that my car would be in the following Wednesday(11/27). No car yet.

I spent the whole holiday weekend waiting for the call that never came.

If you lived a little closerI'd suggest that we go get a couple of beers and commiserate.

 

Gimpman how you been holding up since you drove my car? A little over a month to go. You can make it! I know you can.

 

Whoa DaGimp, I am sooo sorry, hopefully they are wrong and it shows up soon, once I got my Vin it was about 5 weeks, But I also got jerked on the date.....First it was 9/14 then it was 09/02...then they said it wasn't showing up as coming in until 09/04.......09/04 came and went,they said it wouldn't be here until 09/11 but they thought it was still in LA, no one knew where it was....then I got the call at 2;30 on 09/05, she just showed up on a truck unannounced and not expected....got to fife by 4:00 and she was all mine by 5:00. Keep us posted....you are aware I am sure that these last few days of waiting are the worst...very tough. Still love this car, must see yours when it arrives. Marcy`

 

I had the chance to drive my350z.com members new Z and i turned him down. My 350z had to be the first one I ever drove. Ofcoarse he did give me a ride in his. Then when I got mine i let him drive mine for comparison. Whatever though.

You can do it Gimpman!!! I waited 9 mo and 20 days for mine.

 

Oh I'm doing ok I guess...I mean I get to drive a Cougar until it comes in! <shudder> To think I was once excited about this....

Hey, if you don't mind a 300 mile drive across I90 you can probably pick up the blue touring 6sp Z I ordered from a dealer near Spokane. I'm sure they're willing to deal since they offered me $1500 off MSRP since they screwed up on every single promise they made me...
