I don't think exact the angle matters, but I give it some angle so that only one tire crosses at once. That way, when the car falls back down, it won't usually have enough falling momentum to compress the springs enough to slam against the speed bump.
If they're really tall, they'll hit the stickshift under the car. I've felt that about 3 times.

it hits your cats whcih bolts to the exhaust manifolds and those bolt to the engine.. this pushes up the engine which the transmission and shifter is connected to... the shifter is above all the things that scrape...
I go passenger side front tire first, and try to get enough angle so my drivers side front goes over at about the same time as the passenger rear so it lifts up the drivers side which sits slightly lower since I am in the car...
