Default speed bumps

Whats the correct way to drive over a speed bump? Is it a 45 degree angle?

i just go straight over them slowly. Isnt that how we're supposed to do it? I dont see the need for angling if the speed bump isnt high enuff to scrape the car.

I don't think exact the angle matters, but I give it some angle so that only one tire crosses at once. That way, when the car falls back down, it won't usually have enough falling momentum to compress the springs enough to slam against the speed bump.

If they're really tall, they'll hit the stickshift under the car. I've felt that about 3 times.

it hits your cats whcih bolts to the exhaust manifolds and those bolt to the engine.. this pushes up the engine which the transmission and shifter is connected to... the shifter is above all the things that scrape...

I go passenger side front tire first, and try to get enough angle so my drivers side front goes over at about the same time as the passenger rear so it lifts up the drivers side which sits slightly lower since I am in the car...
