There have been a few people who have asked this question actually. Try a search for CAD. Not sure if anyone ever found one.

There are several formats for CAD, the software package that you use will suggest what format you need. There are generic formats that can be imported in most s/w packages, some are modifiable and some are not.

If you find a CAD model, I would love to have a copy as well. I can then play around with it and can put custom mods and see how they look in 3D.

I found a 3ds Max version a while back, I dig around and try to find it if anyone wants it.

I would love to my hands on a SolidWorks model of the car. Does anyone else out here use SolidWorks?

I'd LOVE to have a 3ds or Maya binary file of one. I'm too lazy to make my own in my own time, and if there was one with all of the internals and interior that would be AWESOME.

I have been thinking about doing it in Pro/Engineer but still haven't found time. If sometime in the future I get to it, I'll post it up.

Anything is fine by me, Pro/E, Solidworks, 3DS?

Savant if you find anything, let us know. Creating a model is going to be a pain because you need to know the exact dimensions, proportions etc.

I use SolidWorks a little bit.

I was also one of the ones that asked about a solid model a while back. Format-wise, besides ACIS, IGES, ...any of the generic formats would be nice.

I'd love to try simulating one to see if the drag coefficient is what they say it is! Not to mention see the effect of wings, ground effects, etc.

I found the 350Z 3DS Max file I had buried on my hard drive, if you want it PM me. I can export it as: Max, 3ds, Dxf and a hand full of other formats (whatever files 3ds Max can export)

It is not very detailed, no interior or underside, only what’s visible from the outside. It is not very high polygon count either. But it is better than nothing.

If anyone has a spot, and would want to host it, that would be cool.

Here is a rendering and a wire-frame image.

Yeah, if you want to pay for one there are quite a few of sites that have some very nice high poly versions. The site I have used at work is Turbo Squid.
