For a detailed description go to www.nissanusa.com and go under cars to "Z". Click on Build your Z and a list of the models will appear.

Look up the Z and they will have all of the key features of each model as well as detailed information.

This is the basic difference between the 05' models.

The 2005 350Z Coupe is available in six models – 350Z, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, Track MT and the 35th Anniversary. Standard features on all models include the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine, independent multi-link suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, strut tower bar, power windows, 3-bay gauge cluster, dual front air bags and more.

The Enthusiast model adds xenon headlamps, HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, cruise control, Traction Control System (TCS), Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD), aluminum pedals and auto dimming rearview mirror.

The Performance model includes all of the Enthusiast equipment plus Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and 18-inch tires with aluminum wheels. The Touring model adds a Bose® audio system with 6CD, cassette with seven speakers, leather seats with 4-way power driver’s seat and heated seats. The Touring 6MT adds a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, Vehicle Dynamic Control and 18-inch wheels and tires.

The 2005 350Z Track comes with a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission, front and rear spoiler, forged aluminum wheels and Brembo® brakes. More details on the Track and 35th Anniversary models will be announced later. Two options are available, a DVD-based navigation system (Touring and 35th Anniversary models only); and side and curtain side-impact supplemental air bags.

I did do my research and they give me complete bullsh!t thats why im so fraustrated. The nissan sight dont tell me every detail. I know my S2000 like the back of my hand. For exmaple, I know the changed they made between 00-01 and 02-03 S2K's with great detail like jet bolts changed, tweeters added, Glass rear window, suspension retuned...ect.

I dont even know if the 350Z has ventilated seats for leather. i dont even know if the base model has freakin HID headlights or not. they said the enthusiast has xenon HID and nothign for the base.

As for the diffrent years, My other friend has an 03 350Z and his gears Grind, his seats rock back forth ,his tires feather, and his Z doesnt stick to the ground. I want to know what year is the best to Get.

Please i really need the help from this community.

dude, do a search. And the site DOES have the info broken down by model...wasnt too hard to find:
http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/Mo...26256|,00.html

Also, there are TONS of threads here which discuss this as well.

I did the search on this forum and not a single thread about base model HID's. The nissanUSA comparison chart was read 30 times over and did not see anything about HID headlights on the base model what so ever. They dont even mention is the leather seats on the touring are ventilated or not. I also searched for the changes and re-tunes they made from the 2003-2005 models and i cannot find anything. Did they Fix the Transmission Grind problem on the 2004? I cant even freakin find the answer to that question.

A little information thatyou may find useful for comparing the different models is the, "Compare Competitors" feature listed on the www.nissanusa.com website. Simply choose the "Grand Touring" model, then for the 3 competitors choose the 350z models you are interested in see the differences in.

Honestly, I don't think there is any easier way to find that piece of information out. Hope that helps

HIDs.
1: click on the link I posted above
2: click on 'Exterior'
3: Under the heading 'Styling/Functionality', you will see 'High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-xenon headlights'. These are standard on all 06 models.

The same applies for the leather.
1: click on that link again
2: click on 'Interior'
3: Under the heading 'Seating and Appointments', you will see that 'Perforated leather-appointed seats' are standard on touring and grand touring models.

The only models with ventilated seats are the touring and grand touring convertibles. The coupe does not have ventilated leather.

Since this question is asked so often is there not like a 350Z FAQ sticky thread? You know stuff including:
Trim Differences, weights, years differences, z colors, performance/engine information, VIN number info, production numbers, history of the Z. Do we not have like a FAQ Thread?

Im not looking for 2006 models, im looking for used 2003-2005 models. And with all the info you guys gave me, am i right that the base model 2003 350Z have no HID headlights? This forums needs more work obviously and need more helpful mechanics that know the car Bolt by Bolt. Sorry i am just too used to the S2KI.com site. By the way thanks camaro.

The Base model Z 03-05 does not have xenon HID lights. By the way I had a 2003 Enthusiast 6MT that was tastefully modded and the gears did not grind, the seats did not rock back and forth, the tires never feathered, and it stuck to the pavement like glue.

I purchased my 03 chrome silver track Z a few months back and i can tell you that i love the car. I do see that there are problems with the vehicle that ppl have but my car seems to be built the right way. I am not experiencing any of the problems that are commonly stated on the forums but if it makes you feed at ease they have extended the tranny warranties to 50K.

I think the 2003 touring did not come with VDC, only TCS. He must have some other model but the previous owner upgraded. BTW: what is this "extra cpu"?

As for the question of which year is best to get, go with 2004, it fixed most of the TSB. You will still have to get some TSB done.

For the guy who said he bought a 2003 a few months ago and has no issues. Maybe it's because the previous owners got a lot of the TSB done before he sold the car.

MT Touring has VDC; auto Touring has TCS but not VDC. Been that way from get-go.

I really like the enthusiast.

Actually the base is near perfect now with the Hids and the revup.

I love my base and all the things it was missing could be filled in with better parts, except cruise control

I drive alot and the CC would be nice
