yes, a little on some stations. As you leave the city, it cuts out sooner than before.

Why the hell would you cut a car antenna?? WTF kind of sense does that make....dats like breaking the antenna off of your cell phone or cutting the cable wire to your TV...you're gonna lose reception...plain and simple.

IMO...buy a shorty antenna, if you must.....Factory antenna looks just fine to me.

I'm planning on XM radio w/ my headunit 'n a window antenna . Maybe I might even hide the antenna inside the car somewhere......but my friend works in this field, so we both are trying to find somebody who wants to do this to their Z if they come along so they can be our guinea pig before we do it to our Z's ahahahaha.

.....does that make me a bad person?

That's an excellent idea! On a related note, what's the best way to cut my turn signal lever? I think it would look cool if it were shorter.

if you're that worried about getting your shorty antenna stolen, they make epoxy threadlock compound you can buy at Home Depot that will make it about impossible to steal.....probably cost you $4-$5 I bet.

why do u want to put an s2k antenna in the 1st place>?? does it even fit on the Z? does it look good. post pics. to me stock antenna is fine and you can easily take it off and store under ur seat if u are paranoid of it getting jacked. post pics of Z's with s2k antennas.

If you do that, more than likely that someone trying to steal your antenna will either just break it off or just key the **** out of your car out of frustration. Lose-lose situation...
