But the problem arises when I realise that I cant get a new car, or a Turbo just yet, as I have been fired from my job at the NRC.

Let me guess, somehow you insulted your boss?

But really i think i see where you are coming from. You just got fired and your currently hating on everything.

But comparing it with the trailblazer or whatever SUV you want it does.

If you were a mess in the Z autocrossing, try autocrossing with the SUV...

I have auto crossed with my Z an it is blast, it handles great, may be you should change your tires or take a class or something.

but its all good on what you want to get. if you feel better sitting behind a blazer more power to you bro....
Here's you an idea on how fast value drops. My dad payed $51,400 for his SS Silverado when it 1st came out, he took it to a chevy dealer looking to trade it in because he wants a corvette again (he had to get rid of his vette because of back surgery) they offered him $16,900 for his SS that is in better than showroom quality with 21,000 miles on it. Needless to say he walked out laughing and kept the truck. I'll tell you now buying 1st gen of their SS Trailblazer if you buy that, expext LOTS of problems...this silverado has had the winshield gaskets recalled because owners had their winshields come in at them, vaccuum hoes recalled, steerling wheel locks up, the horn had stopped working 5 times and been in to be fixed, the sport transmission won't even shift or engage gears at times, and the wonderful 9mpg can't beat that. I don't own a Z yet but I looked at Evo's, Magnums, chargers, and a legacy GT sedan. No car had the same feel as the Z nor can they even be remotely compared. That hemi has some beef but the cars themselves are appaling, I guess if you like driving a hurse you could get a magnum

I heard the Tacoma Xrunner is suppose to outhandle the Z as well. It seems that most car companies now a days are answering to the call of performance even with trucks and SUV's. Must be all this exposure to Bling Bling and "status" you always see in music videos.

I've driven an X-runner...and that thing has absolutely no chance against a 350Z on a roadcourse. It has huge sticky tires which make it stick nicely in a constant speed hard turn, but it sucks in tranisition and it's turn in is poor compared to the 350Z. Besides...people can say whatever they want, handling is mostly subjective and until I see a 4000lb X-runner turning quicker lap times than a Z I'll still be a huge skeptic.

I am holding out for the next generation trailblazer- the one with no back seat, low sleek aerodynamic body, road course suspension, identifying appearance......oh I just had a thought. Does GM have a next generation anything?

What the hell is Nissan going to do about this? Why do we own Zs if we can get a BETTER vehicle for the same price? Sure, the Z is sexy as hell, but damn, how many times have you had to borrow a buddy's truck, or rent your own, or just OWN another? Now you can do anything you could do In a Z, in something that can tow a trailer.

The Z is kind of dying! The WRX is getting faster, the Corvette is MUCH faster for just a tad more money, the M3 is getting faster, Porsches are getting faster, THE EFFING EVO, STi, Lotus, etc

I seriously cant think of one car the Z will beat as a sports car V sports car!

It must be a dying breed, the Z. For the next generation, its getting heavier, more cushy, SLOWER, and there isnt a damn thing we, the owners/consumers can do about it.

Discuss
whiny as hell!

HAHA I love this flamesuit.. DO US ALL A FAVOR AND LEAVE THE FORUMS.. and please sell your Z. You clearly told us the Z is crap for your needs. So go buy the truck and have fun losing to Z's . By the way read my first reply.. I covered every car that you listed... and you still came up short.. sorry but you know nothing about the Z or the cars you listed. You baised your argument on magazine stats, I have driven/ raced all of those cars so I know first hand. Next time you decide to start talking crap about a Z on a Z forum make sure you at least have a argument. Think before you talk buddy!

Come on dude, what the "eff" are you talking about? I sure hope you got the Z for the right reasons. If you needed towing capacity and wanted more than two seats, why the hell in the world would you get a 2 seater sports car? Quit *****ing. Respect your car or just keep quiet.

Second...
Sti's and Evo's are fast indeed. Sure vettes are getting crazier and the M3's are getting faster, but so what?!? Sti's and Evo's are nothing more than souped up econo-boxes and they cost almost 7-9k more!! They look like toy cars out of cereal boxes. The vette is probably the pinical of affordable American muscle that GM will ever come out with. Now ask, how much does that cost?? You want a vette? Then pay double what you just paid for your Z, get out of this forum, and shut up. Why not just mod your car like crazy and then take those Vette's, M3's, and Posche's for a lot less?

What am i trying to say?
Shut up! You talk before your mind can catch up with your mouth, thats your problem. Dont make a post and ***** about your car. Either pay more and buy a high class car, or spend some more and drop in FI on your unrespected Z. And if your still complaining about cargo space and seating, give me your address and ill come over and slap you.

Evos and STi's I have respect for even though there ugly as hell. The c6 is roughly twice as expensive so thats a f--king joke right? Mustang GT power basicly same but still takes turns like a mustang. RX-8 no power. SRT-4 best deal out there on a budget but still in the turns can't hang. The magnum and charger are for ex hippies and are over 4000lbs file under big ugly amercian crap.

Not to pick on you but go buy a 04 cobra used you seem like one of those guys.

Ditto to the MAX.....

according to one popular auto magazine:" you can easily pay TWICE as much for the same freaking horse power and handling like the Z........but WHY?"

In early 2003...i didn't want to buy just a souped-up econobox, after some serious test drives..... i decided that driving a sports SEDAN like the M3 just don't turn me on at all. I bought the Z and i've never regretted it since. According to Kim Wolfkill (magazine chief editor) if you want performance but don't want to draw attention to yourself ...buy the M3.
