Default Disable TCS on Start Up

I found this article a long time ago when I owned an E36. I wonder is if the TCS on the Z can be disabled on start up in a similar fashion. Anyone have a electrical schematic for the Z? Any electronic wizards out there. Might be a nice mod.

Click on "products", then it's the most right one after that.

there is something you can do on the 350z...

its free...

takes 10mins at most...

fully disables the TCS / VDC system...

but you get the VDC / SLIP lights on all the time...

and it is NOT pulling a fuse...

Don't want to fully disable it, just want it to turn itself off every time I start the car. I want to be able to engage it for bad weather.

I like the KP Technologies unit.

I have the KP Tech Module and love it. The TCS stays off until I turn it back on.

You can get it direct from him or us. Look here

If the TCS is not fully disabled when you switch it "off", would someone kindly tell me what good it does to have a choice to do so? Why doesen't ON mean ON and OFF mean OFF?!?!?!?!?

It is off unless you hit the brakes while sliding. The computer still pays attention even when TCS is "off." If you are doing something that TCS would limit you from normally doing, it is ready to save your *** if you get out of control. Basically, if you hit the brakes while sliding, you are not in complete control, so the TCS will come on even if turned "off"

This brings back memories of when I did this to my E36. Back then, the car felt so powerful, but in retrospect, with 190hp you really couldn't slip the wheels without feathering the clutch ha ha ha...
