My guess, and that is just what it is (a guess), is that the new heads and cams play a big role in the new numbers. It would be like the 287 guys getting headwork done but yours came that way. I also belive that with the new internals that you should be able to crank it up to near 500rwhp without too much worry. The people that were blowing motors for mechanical reasons and not the tune were mostly bending rods and sending them through the block. I believe the new motor has stronger rods as well so that 500 rwhp on a stock block seems very possible. I would hold off on that build if I were you. You may be in line to set some kind of stock block record. Hope to see this car at the meet this sunday. What kind of numbers are you looking for with the build. If I could run 500rwhp safely on the stock motor then I would never build it. You must be aiming up around 700 or so. Good for you.

JokeStrap . . . Those wheels and car color combo are IMO the sickest combo ever. I regret so much not getting those, looking back the extra $1000 would have been well worth it, oh well, next summer.

BTW on the lowering coment . . . yeah maybe it could afford to be lowered a bit, but it looks that way more so because of the tire size. I advise strongly against 30 profile tires in the back unless you plan on lowering it a lot. Right now I have 275-30-19 on the back and the wheel gap is huge compared to those who have 35 profile and no drop.

Simply awesome. Very clean and not riced out like some I've seen.

The big question is what was the total bill on all that work? I know its really none of our business but it helps those who would like to build a car like that an idea of how many organs they'd need sell.

Beautiful car and very impressive numbers. Any explanation for the dip in tq at 4500 rpm? adjustable valve timing perhaps?

plus, if those are 275's in the rear, your stretching the sidewalls a bit on a 10.5" wheel making it even more pronounced when it comes to the lack of sidewall.

The car looks awesome, and nice numbers. The 05 revup motor has revised cams, and cam phasing on the exhuast side, which results in a shifted powerband, and improved top-end performance. YOu also have the revised lower intake plenum. All of these mods result in a nice topend performance gain, as seen on your dyno chart. NICE WORK!

In terms of engine strength, I wouldnt get too excited. The imporvements made, were designed to allow the engine to rev safely to 7100rpm, rather than the old 6600rpm. But not convinced they have been strength sufficiently for FI. 450whp is certainly doable...maybe even 500whp. There are a handful of people running 500whp on stock blocks...only time will tell if the motors last.

pj, the 35 sidewall should fix my displeasure in the stretch. Coming soon. Thanks for the compliments.

ti, offset is 28f, 23r. Brembo makes the rotors. Pretty nice...

BigMike, right now with sound etc., I am looking at $28k+ in the car.

sfarrah, we are not sure on the "dip" yet. Definitely the cam, not sure why yet.

Sharif, thanks and thanks all, I will be going up from 6psi soon. The engine is running very strong at 421whp. I have the need to take it to 450 at least for now. I will take it to SGP next week and have Mark set the "High Boost" at 450whp to see how it holds up. There is no telling what will happen. If it blows, I will build, if not, will continue going up to see where it ends; safely... and thanks again to all.

Eventually, 800 to 1000 would be my goal. Pretty radical I know...

I have the same 'problem' 30 instead of 35 - a little rear wheel gap, but hardly noticable. Next set will be 35s

Sick Car Anyway!! Nice and clean!
