Well, I have a delemma (sp?). My 350z is wrecked, but has a clear title, so no inspections are needed. The driver and passenger front airbags are blown. The side and curtain airbags are still intact. Im SERIOUSLY considering replacing the steering wheel with a nice looking MOMO and removing the blown passenger bag and recovering the dash panel. The reason being, airbags are freaking outrageously high for this car....lol. What do you guys think about this?

 

If you can get a replacement airbag that would be great, lookinto junkyards that have any Z's it might not be so bad $$$ wise...Doing so will help your Z keep its value if you ever wanted to sell it!

also if you plan to have passengers in your car and i assume you do you should
definitely get the airbag replaced. sure its major $$... but a small investment in
considering saving the life of your passenger.

 

It'd be dumb to not get airbags. You never know what will happen when you drive these days. I almost took out my factory steering wheel on my show car and replaced it but now I'm glad I didn't because if I had I wouldn't be here today. Its not always you, you gotta watch people around you.
