i just bought a z, and it has a few paint chips.how can i find out my color code?the guy at the dealership looked up my vin and got the color,but some stuff wasnt right about the car on the site he looked at so im not sure if the color is wrong too.its an 03 and the color he gave me was paint code k10.i just wanted to make sure it matches right.also when im putting touch up paint on how should i do it?i was thinking was the area, dry it good,put the paint on and let it dry, then wax it.thanks

 

What color is your car? There are very few colors so post up what color 03 it is and I'm sure someone can confirm for you.

my car is silver,but im not sure if its chrome silver or silverstone,i should have put that in the original post sorry

 

K10 must be chrome silver. i only have the 06 codes here, but WV2 is silverstone and K23 is the new silver alloy color.

The paint code is inside the engine bay correct?

 

Look under the hood on a plate attached to the back passenger side of the firewall. There should be a large 3 letter code stamped there.
