the new Lexus IS compared to 350???
yea, comparing the g35 sedan to the 06 is350 is more right and i would choose the lexus in the comparison
even comparing the new gs430 to the M, id choose the gs300
funny thing is, before the latest lexus design changes, i never even looked at those cars twice, didnt care much for them at all, but lately they're doing something right.
Oh, and i absolutely LOVE my 350z, when i bought the car, 0-60 or 1/4 times weren’t the only things i was looking in to, although they did have a big part in it, the style of the car brought me way over the edge.

I recently test-drove the IS350, and it doesn't feel as tight in the corners as the Z (or even the BMW 330 for that matter). A tad more "floaty" (just a bit). The C&D and R&T articles both seem to support that (via skidpad numbers, subjective feel).
Biggest drawback on the IS350 (even amongst the mag writers) is that it is not available in a manual transmission.
Variation in 0-60 times (5.1 to 6.0): obviously driver dependent. So can a Z beat an IS350? Depends on you.
