Default bad range on my stock alarm remote

does anyone else have this problem? I have to be atleast 10ft or below to arm or disarm it

yup no range, try pressing the remote against ur chin that seems to get a little more range, or is it just an urban myth.

I have terrible range too but others have great range. I think you can replace the battery if it gets really bad.

Also, I have to hold down the buttons for better response. Quick presses don't work.

I can lock/unlock my car 2 stories up at work just pointing at the window. I can also do this in my bedroom [Z is about 20 feet away], pointing in the opposite direction and there are also blinds on the window. I've always had good luck with alarms.

My moms maxima has a range of about 250 feet..its amazing. my z..is more like 50 feet or less...its sad..

i read somewhere in the Z manual that they reduced the range on our remotes for security purposes...

when you hold the remote up to your chin it kind your skull acts as a dish and it reflets the beam better, kind of like a satellite dish....therefore better range....my range tends to be about 50 feet or so.....

My range is awful. I look like a retard holding down the button while aiming at the car.
