Default hey i found a secret to shaving off 600 pounds off of the Z without limiting comfort

you guys know that crap they add onto the car? i believe they call it a body kit. well, who needs the body anyways? are we performance driven? or are we just into the whole all show and no go?

my buddy removed all of the body panels of his 2004 base Z and it shaevd off about 600 pounds. he also removed the air bags, seats and rear view mirror. he replaced the seats with an empty detergent bucket.

the Z is pretty badass at 2600 pounds. he does the 1/4 at 13.1 now instead of 14 seconds. well worth it.

have you guys tried driving without a steering wheel? you can remove the steering wheel and control the car using a wrench. that'll save you 14 more pounds.

also remove the exhaust system and replace it with pringles can. it weighs less. another 8 pounds off.

Don't be ridiculous, that wouldn't work.

Try replacing those 6 pistons with 6 cans of Dinty Moore soup. But for Pete's sake, remove the nutrition labels!
