Default Valet Mode

I guys I recently got an '05 black 350z MT. I have had it for about one month and love it. Today while I was at the mall I was playing with the key fob and I changed the hazard indicator and horn mode so that the horn doesn't beep when you lock the doors. I later realized I had done this and held both the lock and unlock buttons to set it back to beep. When I got in the car to go home in first gear the rev limiter kicked in at 3,000 rpm. I didn't stomp on the gas, but it wouldn't go above 3,000 rpm. It was just bouncing right at 3. I shifted into second and the same thing happend at 3,000 rpm. I pulled over got out and look the engine over. I then locked and unlocked the doors with the key fob. I then drove it around the parking lot and everything was fine.
My question is do our cars have a valet mode that can be set with the key fob? I looked over the manual but didn't see anything. I am thinking that I accidently turned on the valet mode while messing with the key fob.
Any other sugestions would be great.
Thanks

PS I posted this in the New Owner Forum but didn't get anything helpful. Just wondering if anything is wrong with my baby!

After I turned the engine off and locked/unlocked the car, then cranked it up again it ran fine. Been running fine for almost 2 days now.
Any thoughts?

Mine did the same thing, wouldn't rev past 2000 rpm when my "Throttle Actuator" went out. I pulled over and restarted it and it ran fine, except for the CEL.

Not a good feeling though when you just bought a new car.....

Mine did it after I bought the car and drove it off the lot. I turned it around and drove back. When I restarted the car to show them the problem it ran fine (and has run fine since).

So is this a mechanical problem or can you actually do it yourself with the key fob? Is it only on 05s? Mine is an 04 and if I can do this then it seems like an awesome feature since I don't have to worry about valet guys redlining my car when I am not around. ( not that I would actually valet my Z )

Default For Clarification...

I am not saying that the 05s have a valet mode. This is what I am asking. I was concerned by this happening and the signs seem like it would be a valet mode....But I am scared to do it again and be stuck in it.

There is no valet mode for the Z. If you can repeat this, I suggest you do it and take it to the dealer to get it fixed once and for all. Otherwise, you may get it again one day when it is the absolute worst time - Murphy.
