I got the package and it's pretty cool, I didn't expect anything to begin with just my 3200 lb toy I ordered that will be enough for me and much better then a key chain or trincket, lets get the real picture here and it is the fact that we got a chance to order the car as we wanted it and pay MSRP, we will be one of the few that will be able to say that in addition to being able to enjoy it while others wait, they can have the key chain if they want, I want my Z. I have friends who have bought cars such as 993's and S55's and don't get anything special not even special treatment from dealer. The Z will be here soon enough and I believe we will all be very happy.

I was not suggesting they actually do that. I was just pointing out that we should keep in mind Nissan is a company, out to make a profit, not a superhuman deity to be glorified.

Totally agree. There was so much whining going on that I was almost ready to go out and buy some cheese so they - the whiners - could have a "whine and cheese" party!

I think it's great that when we first considered buying a 350Z, they promised "260+ HP".
When we considered pre-ordering our cars, the promise went up to "280+ HP" and 0-60 in "under 6 seconds".
We pre-ordered and what did we get? 287 HP and 0-60 of 5.4!
Am I missing something? Who has ANY legitimate complaint?

The new z is a great car at a great price, and i for one just love it regardless of whether the car comes with 300 or 287 hp or whether it weighs 3188lbs or 3288.568712583lbs. i dont care. im an individual person with individual likes and dislikes, and im gonna mod the car to my liking. everyone here is going to do the same thing. whether its change the wheels out, seats, steering wheel, or just plaster a "my son is the honor student at ABC Elementary". there is no way that nissan will create a car that everyone will be completely head-over-heels with. on one hand, they make it the most competitive super-performance sports car on the market, but its too expensive. on the other hand, they put crap in it and its cheap, but no body here wants to buy a kia-like "bike", i mean car. I think the 350z is the perfect car for the masses like you and i and the thirty thousand who will purchase this car every year. we have it great with the new z.
zztop, i think im on the same level as you. i'll be happy with what im gonna get, because all along, i knew that that is what i would be paying for. nothing more, and nothing less.
